Louisiana Welcome Center - I-10

A nice clean welcome center. Spacious and easy to get around. I recommend stopping here on your long travels.

putting on miles because they fit and all these places start looking the same: various combinations of bigger and fancier and updated and mostly closed when I come through or at least not offering coffee and snacks to this weary traveler...anyway... in this particular case though a large group of people just went in and I really don't want to deal with that right now since I have coffee and don't feel particularly snacky but it's warm out and this is a nice rest area with room to roam and out back has a theme park feel to it except no rides or costumed characters, just vending and restrooms. Three Flags Over Louisiana?? has a nice ring to it.

Overall, a nice welcome center/rest area on Interstate 10. The property is well-kept and clean. I would definitely recommend here.

Charming reception area. The staff greeted me warmly. I enjoyed the complimentary coffee and found Evelyn to be exceptionally delightful.

Great stop and a fabulous welcome to Louisiana on I-10 as I cross over from Mississippi. Clean restrooms, some vending machines, lots of shade and a room full of brochures and pamphlets all about the Pelican State attractions and accommodations.Easy access from the highway and back onto it.[Review 17351 overall - 64 in Louisiana - 869 of 2022.]

If you are driving west on I-10, once you enter LA, be sure and stop at this rest area. Be sure to take in the surroundings, visit the visitor center, stop in the clean restrooms (a "must" as I will explain). Perhaps you would like to sit at one of the covered picnic benches or sit down and take in the sights while sitting at one of the many park-like seats. Enjoy yourself...because...this is the one and only rest area on I-10 westbound in LA. The visitor center has lots of brochures and they are grouped according to where they are in LA. The friendly people working there will gladly help you find what you are looking for, even give you suggestions. Then, before you leave, all they ask for is your zip code. :)As far as attractive rest areas go, this one ranks high. Just remember when you cross into LA, heading westbound, don't say to yourself "I'll stop in the next rest area, not this one" because the next rest area is in TX.

I stopped into this rest stop bc my Yelp friend Mrs. Susan H. recommended it, my other Yelp friend and Neighbor from Alabama, Barrett O. also recommended it. Beautiful, clean & for a great cause. As it's a Blue Star Memorial Highway/tribute to the Armed Forces who have defended the United States of America and continue to do so. Now, my little nephew has also joined in the Navy I have to show my support for him, so i'm adding a extra star. Go Navy. Highly recommend! xoxo

Dirty! Litter everywhere and bathrooms were terrible. What a shame. This represents your state, so this is the first visual people see. Not good.

My dad got a starbucks coffee from the vending machines, either the power had gone out and the owner neglected to throw out the stock or it has been in there way too long, it was sludge, thick sludge that my father accidentally consumed he immediately started gagging and trying to throw it up and failed, hope he doesn't end up sick. The bathrooms are also kind of gross, the toilet seats are all skewed and broken and the bowls are gross, same with the sinks. The faucet is too close to the back of the sink to actually rinse your hands and the soap makes your hands slick, its gross. Poor management, I don't understand how this place has 4.9 on google.
