That's right. Sandwiches on toast must be cash money. But you're not ordering that anyway.
Tasty pastries near the checkout area. Pick up one (or three) and thank me later.
More goodness to show because I like you.

Local comes and pick up big po boys. Already have the shrimp, oysters, fry fish, all fantastic with onion, pickles, lettuce and a dash of hot sauce. Have not try the sausage but I keep seeing people getting that. The bread is so fresh just what I expected nice crust soft center.

A friend recommended stopping at Louisiana Discount Marker for a po' boy and fried chicken. This place is delicious and was in walking distance to our place. I got the shrimp po' boy and a fried chicken breast and both hit the spot!!

I love this little gas station counter stop for Poboys and meat pies. It's super close to the Saint Charles parade route too so a good stop while you're out there parading. For real though the meat pies are SO GOOD.

This gas station is super conveniently located on Saint Charles, and is never out of gas! They have good prices and a pretty decent selection of treats and snacks inside. It's well lit and safe pretty much all day and night.

THE CLASSIC PO'BOY GAS STATIONThis is that genre of urban New Orleans convenience stores with the sandwich counter splayed out along the back wall like a mamouth St Jospeh's Day Shrine. To get there the hungry pilgrim winds past packed shelves of incense, pig knuckles, synthetic viagra, and off-brand chips. LOOK UP!If you are familiar with Bank's you'll hone in on the bulk-food menu floating high above the counter: $75- $200 package deals perfect for tailgating, or neutral ground festival tents during Carnival. But bypass the hot box. I've had nothing but limp fried food from it. The prices are pretty amazing: an 18" ham and cheese dressed is just $7.50. Lotto tix.

Fried Chicken Nirvana.I have to give credit to Ian McNulty from the Advocate for his best gas station fried chicken article directing me to this place. Friendly neighborhood folks abound as you wait for fresh tenders (4 and fries for 4.99 or 8 for 5.99). They are plump juicy spicy slightly greasy in a good way. Unlike other tenders Ive had in the past these are succulent with the flavor profile of bone-in fried chicken with a hint of skin in the crunchy parts. The bone-in breasts are 1.79 and so flavorful and satisfying. I pick it as clean as ant pile would. The fries are nothing special, but regular old food service fries are the perfect compliment to any good chicken. The huge po boys look good - amazing even for the ridiculously cheap prices, but I'll never try them because I would feel remorse immediately if I left here with anything but chicken.

All I really have to say is this: Hot Sausage Po Boy.The catfish and shrimp po boys are excellent as well, but. The hot sausage changed my life. Now I have no problems going to mini marts to buy the best food EVER. And the prices. Food this good shouldn't be so affordable. (Maybe I should keep that to myself.) Just go.
