Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport MSY

I recently passed through Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY), and I had a great experience! The service was quick, and the staff were incredibly polite. The colorful Mardi Gras decorations throughout the airport really added a festive touch that made the atmosphere truly enjoyable.One of the highlights was the live band on the lower level playing great music that enhanced the vibrant vibe of the airport. Overall, it was a delightful experience that left me with a smile. I look forward to returning!

This is a new airport that has only been open a few years. It is much improved over the old one. It is 3 floors for check-in, boarding and luggage pick up.Every time I have flew in or out of here it seems to be really busy. I usually check in online so I only have to drop my bag in I not carrying on. It has always gone smoothly ..so far. There is no scarcity of restaurants, bars and shops to choose from if you are hungry or in need of something. I remember once I went to the United lounge and its smaller than Houston's but it still served the purpose to eat and relax. I don't fly here much but at this time all has gone well for me here.

2.16.25Small airport and it was super busy on a Sunday night. Seating at our gate was limited so we sat at another gate while waiting for our departure. Other than that don't have any complaints. They have several good several shops including the renowned Cafe du Monde, Starbucks, Great American Bagel Panini, Emeril's Table, MoPho (pho restaurant), Shake Shack among others.Hubby and I purchased a turkey sandwich from Great American Bagel Panini. They didn't have baguettes or sandwich bread so we went with the Everything bagel. They only had one employee working so it was incredibly slow. We both enjoyed our sandwiches so it was worth the wait.

I found this airport pretty nice. Getting to and through security was pretty easy and went straight to the lounge. The walkways seemed to be nice and spacious and the restrooms were clean. I didn't get food from any of the restaurants and forgot to look at the options available.

This airport is huge!! I'm not too sure which side we came in on as we arrive from SFO but when we left a week later, the airport was very organized and well planned out. Perhaps it was where our terminal was, terminal a but they only had a smallmarketplace area to buy things. They did, however, have a Dillons's candy shop, Smashburger, panda express, Starbucks, and delicious beignets! Oh and a smoothie king nearby. They also have very high-tech bathrooms that remind me of the clean organized bathrooms I found in Taiwan! Everything was touched sensitive, and there was even an automatic plastic toilet paper cover.I loved my stay here in New Orleans and I want to come back again!! Granted the airport is about 30 minutes away from the French Quarter. It was an easy drive via Uber!

Okay no complaints from this airport! It's very fast and processional. It's a huge airport and have many good food options to choose from. They have cafe de Munde and much more good eateries to pick ! Smoothie King, which was very delicious! Very nice and well melt up airport and fast access to rental car services. Love the fast and less hassle airports! Some TSA's were a little grumpy but all the other er encountered were amicable. -Marshay D.

Checking in was a breeze. We checked in at the Kiosk and got our boarding passes and luggage tags. Then we stood in a short line to check our bags. We got to check in our carry one for free.The line through security was super long, but it moved. In no time we had passed through security. We still had to take off our shoes and be scanned.There was plenty of food choices and you could still get New Orleans foods along side Panda Express and Chic Filet.Overall it was a good airport experience. It helped that we got to the airport 3 hours early so we didn't feel rushed.

Such a beautiful airport. The natural lighting throughout the space, even the restrooms, made the space feel spacious and airy. It felt like easy navigation from start to finish. Quick check-in, plenty of food options, with uber/lyft conveniently located outside, with no wait. Definitely one of the better airports I have visited. Compared to others, this airport is easy to navigate.

OK airport as far as roominess and amenities in the concourses are concerned. In fact, if graded just on airport stuff it would earn 4 stars ... but the drawback was the car rental facilities. As with most airports the rental facilities are a bit offsite, but here you get on their shuttle and take a 20 minute ride ... crazy. The rental facilities are on the edge of the airport property ... the far edge, necessitating a 20 minute shuttle ride.Maybe one day they'll have an underground tram or something that could zip passengers across the property in a timely fashion. This would also obviate the need to have a whole bus system for the shuttle operation. In sum ... nice airport, but 2 star car rental operation.

As someone who travels frequently, I've come to appreciate Louis Armstrong Airport in New Orleans for all the right reasons. The more I travel, the more I realize that Miami Airport just doesn't compare!First off, the dining options are fantastic. There are multiple places to grab a bite, including a large Starbucks to fuel your journey. The airport feels clean and modern, and I particularly loved the updated restrooms. They are not only spacious but also equipped with automatic seat coverings and a convenient wash area, making for a comfortable experience.Navigating the airport is a breeze, with clear directions to the baggage claim and rideshare area, ensuring you can get to your destination smoothly.The TSA experience was remarkably efficient; they moved us through the lines in a timely manner, allowing for an stress-free start to our travels..
