Lou & Bob's Lounge

Cool little place located smack dab in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The drinks were cheap, the clientele mostly interesting (if a bit destitute at times), and the service excellent. The bartender was very welcoming, and kept up spot on service even when it got hectic (a dozen or so frat boys poured in out of the blue, did several rounds of shots, then disappeared as fast as they came).It is DEFINITELY a dive bar, but they used that to their advantage--it was pretty cool when a cat that lived in the area walked in, hopped up on the bar, to get pet, then was served a shot of milk.

This is a cool little bar that is part of a house right in the middle of a residential neighborhood. I recently discovered this joint during my adventures along the Metairie Road St. Patrick's parade. It is a long rectangular building with a long bar that covers most of the length of the structure. We had a cute bartendress, that is also a nurse, and she took good care of us during our visit. We learned that they frequently have free food here and that this is a popular spot in the area to watch Saints games. During my visit they had some sausage pasta and mac n' cheese. There were some serious smokers in here so I really didn't enjoy that aspect of this establishment. I met some interesting characters in here and I even got invited to go on a fishing trip to Grand Isle. This seems like a nice secret spot to go and grab a few drinks and there are certainly some friendly and interesting people in here.

Total hole in the wall Old Metairie dive. It would be a great place to film a movie. Think Steve Buscemi's "Trees Lounge." The neighborhood clientele can get loud and rowdy if they're wasted.Don't expect anything more than a hangout spot.

Great small neighborhood bar. Cash only but fun little spot.

Cheap, cash only bar. The selection is a bit limited on beer and don't like the smoke but otherwise awesome.

Love this place. It is A home away from home. Look for norby at the end of the bar. Its the best

The services are right company's pretty good they don't know how to answer the phone but oh well
