If I could give a lower rating I would. Arrived at the restaurant and I ordered a taco salad with extra shredded chicken. When I got there they were pretty busy so I had to wait to order. I was taking it to go so I stood there and browsed through the menu while I waited. I been here numerous times and I always order the same thing. I placed my order and my food took a while, but they were busy. I received my order and the bag was double tied so I didn't check it. I've never had problems with my orders in the past so I took my meal and ran home to eat. When I opened my bag i discovered that the double chicken taco salad had no chicken at all. I immediately called the restaurant to let them know that and the phone just rang. For about ten I tried with negative results. It was late so I decided to return the next day. I went back today and it was basically the same crap. I was asked why I didn't call and i replied that I did. After being chastised for not calling I asked why didn't they get my order right. He had no answer. I do realize that sometimes things get lost in translation but I cannot figure out how extra chicken could be understood as no chicken. I was told to come back again and speak with the general manager Ruben. I guess they couldn't make it right. It's a pity that this one experience sorta ruined my overall experience. What I love the most about this place is also the reason why I will not be returning. Check your orders before you leave this place, especially if the place is busy and it's late. If you are missing anything you will be told that there's nothing they can do.

The is the only Mexican restaurant my boyfriend and I consistently eat at in Slidell.The queso is muy bien and truly the reason for each visit. We make sure to order a large at every outing. The combos ate decently priced and the salsa is also a hit. We typically get the same waitress who always encourages us to try new things. The food always comes out quickly and we always leave satisfied!
