I had a phenomenal stay at the Lions Inn! Check in/check out process was seamless, the bed was comfortable, the backyard space is to die for, and Ed was very kind and accommodating. The location is perfect-smack dab in the middle of the Marigny, walking distance to the Bywater and French Quarter.side note- I'm an extremely light sleeper and my room was facing Chartres street but I didn't wake up once during my stay.will definitely be back! :-)

What a relaxing and beautiful Inn. Nestled in the Marigny neighborhood, just 5 blocks from Frenchman street this Inn is a gem. The room was clean and quaint, the backyard is a beautiful jungle/garden with a fantastic pool and hot tub. In the morning the owner Ed puts out a spread of pastries and Coffee. We left rejuvenated from our staycation, after visiting some wonderful neighborhood restaurants and bars, and reading time around the pool. I would give it 6 stars if allowed. I can't wait to go back!

This Inn is truly amazing, very clean very organized, Ed greeted us from the door and was very polite and friendly from the beginning. The inn has an amazing pool hot tub and small pod at night the pool area lights up with cute little sparkling lights. The breakfast is great as well so many options the home is gorgeous! You will not be disappointed if you book with Lions Inn.

Firtst, let me say that we stayed at the apt across the street, not the room(s) with the pool in the back. I mention this because its supposed to be much nicer. Umm what to say? Run down, falling apart & I was amazed that I didn't see bugs crawling around when I turned the lights on. The bed crashed in on one side when I was getting off of it & made me feell like maybe all those beignets were finally making me pay, but after further inspection it was just the bed (phew! Now I can go back to eating). Oh, and the decor was a cross between 50's pervert & mom on the ranch. Ugh. Plus- it's inexpensive & you can use the pool across the street.

Owner was very nice and the rooms were great. Location is what you get with the Inn, close to Frenchman St and everything in the Quarters. The breakfast could have been better but with all the great food in town you shouldn't be wasting your calories on a continental breakfast.

Lions Inn is a friendly, comfortable place to stay. It's in a great location, walking distance to Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter, but quiet and out of the fray. The pool and garden are beautiful and the hot tub feels great after a long day of fun. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This has been our place to stay in New Orleans for a number of years and we recommend it to all our friends, too!

Outstanding lodging option for New Orleans, I will recommend this place to friends and family and look forward to staying here again when in N.O. Excellent value for the money - close to all the hubbub of Bourbon Street, but peaceful, quiet, clean and relaxing. My wife and I stayed here in Room 1 while in New Orleans to attend a wedding. We'd both previously visited the city for conferences and trade shows, usually with top notch lodging at New Orleans' finest hotels. That being said, please understand, the Lion's Inn IS NOT a Five Start Luxury hotel. This is two small/medium homes converted into guest rooms, fenced off of the outside world with a nice medium sized residential swimming pool and hot tub. There is a small garden patch in the back yard for relaxation. There is a complimentary continental breakfast. There is a complimentary wine and cheese hour (5PM-6PM). There is complimentary WiFi and they even have bicycles with chains and locks for guests to borrow, all included with your stay. What MAKES this place great, in my opinion, if how it's DIFFERENT from all the mega hotels and chains situation in and around the Quarter. The location is key: close enough to walk if you choose or an inexpensive cab ride ($6-8). There are wonderful places to eat in this neighborhood (Horn's was OUTSTANDING, Cake Cafe was DELICIOUS). The neighborhood is a quiet and peaceful contrast to the loud and raucous Bourbon Street. It was so nice to go out, and hoot and holler, and when we were done, to return to serenity and sleep. The management and cleaning staff were cordial and accommodating.I am so pleased with this place.

Had a wonderful stay for my husbands birthday last week. Our family took up several rooms in the Inn and we were all very pleased with our stay. The oasis in the back of the BnB is a pleasant surprise, wonderful pool, hot tub and sitting area. The small breakfast buffet in the morning is just enough to get your day started. The rooms were cosy and homey but not outdated. Ed was super nice and was a big help with food recommendations and very understanding when we had a medical emergency causing us to miss our first night at the Inn. He even got us a DELISH cake for the night of my husbands birthday. He was friendly but not overt with the overwhelming southern hospitality and very much left us to our own devices unless we needed something. We absolutely loved our stay and will be back!A note: my in-laws stayed in room A and mentioned they could hear the clocks chiming every hour from one of the main rooms in the house. Keep that in mind when booking.

We truly miss the Lions Inn! Mr. Ed is such a wonderful host. The B&B is gorgeous, with a fun and lush pool area. The hotel is close to all the great spots in New Orleans like Cafe Du Monde and Bourbon Street. We hope to visit again soon!!!

My boyfriend and I just got back from a 4 night stay at at the Lions Inn and our stay was nothing but great! I honestly don't think the website does it justice! The rooms are cozy and have everything you could need including: free WiFi, a fridge, water cups, in unit air conditioning, hair drier, iron, hanging closet and dresser. We stayed in room B which is the room with the double bed that shares a bathroom with single room D. We didn't have any issues with this and the bathroom remained clean. The maid service visits the rooms everyday if you wish with fresh towels and a clean. The Inn amenities are great. The outside pool area is so much lovelier than the photos. There is also a hot tub and pond and a lot of seating. Additionally, there is a complimentary breakfast every morning from 8am-10am which has everything you could want including bagel options, toast, assorted cereal and fruits, eggs, coffee, juices, etc. This was a great start to our day!Edward was so nice and happy to help! When our hair drier stopped working, he was up in literally under a minute with a new one.The location is wonderful. We walked everywhere. We were around the corner from restaurants and bars but the area is super quiet, and under a ten minute walk from Frenchman Street and the fun of the quarter. I would highly recommend staying at Lions Inn when visiting New Orleans!
