We are sad to be leaving New Orleans but we had to get something to eat before our trip back to the frozen chosen of Ottawa. We were told that Leah's was where we should go for breakfast. Wow and wow.For an airport restaurant I normally set my expectations low but this place was wonderful. Great service, clean tables, cold beer and hot coffee - fantastic start. My wife ordered a la carte but I got the pulled pork Benedict...... OMG. Absolutely perfect. Eggs were poached perfectly, the pulled pork was incredible, my wife loved her breakfast - no complaints at all. The quality of everything was like a brick and mortar restaurant- outstanding stuff. If you're at MSY this is the place to go.

Stopped by Leah's Kitchen at the New Orleans airport for breakfast. Sat down at 9:15 AM but didn't hear from my waitress until 9:35 AM, service was definitely on the slow side.Ordered the fish and grits; grits had no salt, and while the fish had some seasoning, it wasn't anything special. The crawfish maque choux, however, was very flavorful and honestly should be a side if it isn't already. The atmosphere is what you'd expect for an airport spot, family-friendly with a steady flow of travelers. Some staff members could work on their approach when communicating with guests.Overall, it was an okay meal but nothing I'd go out of my way for. 2.5/5.

Staff was great. The fired chicken was very good. Worth the 22 minute wait. The shrimp create was bad bad bad. Very sad. Pleasant atmosphere.

My family and I came here last year (2024) and again this year. Last year it took awhile for the food to come out, I got the shrimp and grits which tasted great. This year I got the fish and grits, the fried catfish tasted fantastic but the grits tasted really bad, not sure what they did differently with that but it's ok. My sister got the 3 pieces of fried chicken, the crust was nice but the inside of the chicken was a tad dry, seasonings on point though!

Stopped by Leah's Kitchen post tsa in the New Orleans airport. It was one of the first spots when you make a left. They have a large seating area with a bar. I got a table for myself and ordered a few dishes. I got the gumbo (of course! I am in New Orleans!) and the creole grilled chicken with a side of greens. First, don't be discouraged by the service, it was very slow. It was only 1 server for about 15 tables! I felt so bad for her, she was running around, thankfully I had a little over an hour before boarding, so I did not make a fuss. But given it was lunch hour, I'd expect there would be more service. The dishes I ordered was not what I had expected nor was it what I eating in the days prior. The gumbo soup was SO salty! It did contain sausage, shrimps and rice, I ate most of the protein inside but the broth was saltier than what I would've liked. My main dish, the Creole grilled chicken breast, was a little bit better. But still salty, luckily I had the rice to balance. I greatly enjoyed the rice though! Also, note: they charge almost a 3% surcharge on top for using credit cards! Plus tax, plus tips! So I ended up paying a lot more for the meal than what I would've liked. Overall, not the best option, maybe next time I'll stick with my Chik-fil-A which is also in the same terminal!

The food at Leah's is undeniably delicious! I had the catfish and grits, and let me tell you, it was so good I almost ate the plate lol. Seriously, this food was everything. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the customer service upon entry could have been better. However, once the food arrived it more than made up for it. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in NOLA airport.

4.5 stars. We had a good experience, but our expectations were set correctly. Despite being in an airport, this is not a fast dining opinion; we had time to kill though, so that worked well. The portion size was perfect for an airport - what would you do with leftovers? - and I was pleased that the shrimp didn't have tails on them.

Very impressed with the country breakfast meal. Nice size amount of food for a very good price. Pancake was good and the grits were really good. Only gripe I had was they didn't provide real maple syrup.

I continue to be impressed by airport dining options. Leah's Kitchen is one of those exceptions to the rule that all airport food is bad. I was leaving New Orleans but still had a taste for the their unique southern food. I was completely surprised by how good my shrimp and fried green tomato salad was. As for the service and the atmosphere, they are pretty standard as airport dining goes. But they've hit a home run with their menu.

Food was yummy in terms of airport eateries. Took a while to get seated and a a bit longer for food to come out, if you are in a hurry in between flights then maybe skip it all together, but if you have time to spare it's a good place to pass the time. Food was worth the wait, had the chicken sandwich and it was a generous portion and full of flavor .
