Went to check out lakeside mall's playground. It was so cute! You need to reserve a slot for play though which you can sign up for online. There's a limit because they don't want to overpack the place. The slots are in 30 min increments. There are people to oversee the playground, but you can't just drop them off and leave the kids there. You still have to be present. You have to take your shoes off first and there's cubbies for you to place them in. Then my favorite part is actually the handwashing station. There's 2 circles and you just place your hands and arms in there until it turns on. You remove your hands once the machine stops and then you dry your hands with some paper towels after. There's a large soft play area for kids. There's also a Jungle gym structure for bigger kids. There's a family rest room, nursing room, and changing room. This place has it all and there's plenty of space for parents to sit and watch.

baby girl played hookie from daycare...she's 1 (14 months, and walking/running). I figured we'd go get into something so I remembered I'd seen something about this place. I didn't realize they were on a cleaning break when I arrived and I didn't know it was by appointment only either. I just thought we'd walk in and play. lol Nothing a little reading couldn't solve, huh? We just killed time in the toy store in the mall before our 30 min spot. Once it was our turn, we took off shoes and headed to play. I quickly realized this is for kids a little bigger and she couldn't do very much of anything in there on her own. So if you have itty bitties, be prepared to have to do it all with them instead of just letting them roam free. Baby girl enjoyed climbing on the little things she could get on by herself. Once our time was up, we headed to the shoes and washed our hands. I think I had more fun washing hands than she did because the wash station was a little fancy. lol We'll come back another time when she's able to do more on her own.

My husband and I were off work for Juneteenth and he made a reservation for our son to come here to try this place out! You have to make a reservation in advance and the timeslots are 30 minutes each. We booked 230 minutes slots back to back from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. This place is super clean, friendly host work there and they have a hand washing and drying section for the kids before or after their play. They have a climbing area for the bigger kids, and they have the soft play small animal shaped, play for the small kids. We will definitely be back!!!

So me and my baby have come a handful of times with no problems. You have to make advance reservations for a 30 minute play slot. Kids are required to wear socks and be supervised. I love the sanitation station right before you enter. The restrooms/family room are cleaned and adapted for littles. The staff closes periodically to wipe down the fixtures. It's really a neat place to be honest...Here's the thing: Whatever the rules are have to be enforced for everybody. I was told no food or drinks allowed past a certain area. No problem. 30 minutes later I saw the attendants ignore a presumed doctor/nurse (in full scrubs) sit in the same prohibited area with his food court lunch. He was going in too. No one told him anything. It's all good but I bring this up because it's mentioned in other reviews as "racist". I did not get that vibe whatsoever. The ladies overall have been helpful. They will go in the play area and give gentle reminders to rowdy kids. They make sure the babies don't go inside the actual castle which I believe is 3 and up.Here's a tip: Make sure the adults have socks for kids under 3 as they require you to physically go into the play area to monitor your child. Otherwise, you have to purchase online for like 6 dollars. I definitely would recommend this place for a fun FREE play experience.

Tucked near the food court of Lakeside Shopping Mall, the Kids' Castle is a great place for your preschooler or toddler to burn off some energy. You reserve your time slot online and check-in when you arrive. Before entering, parents and kids take off their shoes and wash their hands. The front has cute animals to climb on and the back has a great climbing structure and slide. There is a kid-size bathroom and nursing area.

Wow what a perfect experience at the shopping mall with the kids! Located in Lakeside shopping mall is the Lakeside Kids castle playground. It is located in the food court area toward the entrance doors. Its perfectly planned out on how they run this operation. They have specific time zone slots for the kids to play in and usually last 20 minutes. Each kid gets a wrist band and they maximum allowed is 20 kids per time. They have all sorts of objects the kids can hop on and slide on as well. They even have a castle with a slide the kids can get in and play on. The minimum age for the castle is 4 but under 4 you will need a parent with the child. Inside the play area they have a restroom and most importantly they have these really cool high tech handwashing stations for the kids to wash there hands before entering. They have a security guard on site and also lakeside castle workers who maintain the premises and make sure everyone is following the guidelines. This is a no shoe, no bare feet and, only sock play zone. Thank you Children's Hospital for providing this awesome opportunity for kids to be kids in this nicely clean well kept play area. The best part is that its FREE!

Wow. The Lakeside Kids' Castle is amazing. The first thing that blew me away was that it is free AND very well kept. There is an attendant there the entire time to make sure the play area does not exceed a certain number of kids. They also enforce the no shoe rule and every kid MUST wash their hands before entering. It is cleaned twice a day. Yay for stopping the spread of the flu and other viruses. Every person working the Kids' Castle area has always been super friendly to me and my family. As for the weekends, it does get busy so they will issue you a wristband to come back at a designated time after they fill up. That is really the only issue, but still can't complain since its free. There is a parent sitting area with charging stations so you can charge your battery while your kid's battery (hopefully) runs out during the 30 minute play session. As a new mom, Lakeside Kids' Castle was a safe haven for me. It was a place I could escape the hustle and bustle of the mall and feed my baby in a private, quiet, comfortable, and dimly lit room. The kids' castle has 3 nursing rooms, each with a counter top and a rocker. They are big enough to fit my stroller. These rooms SAVED me countless times. Thank you to the community sponsors for creating this great space for families!

This has to be the coolest, cleanest mall play area I have ever seen. It is back by the Food Court in Lakeside Mall. Upon first arrival, I was a little annoyed that playtime is in 25 increments and we had to wait until the next time slot...but it totally makes sense. Everyone gets a wrist band, removes shoes and washes their hands. After 25 minutes, everyone comes out, washes their hands and the person manning the area takes out garbage and checks the area. If not a lot of kids are waiting a turn, your kids can go back in. There is an animal climbing area for smaller kids and a climbing slide area for over 4. They even close it 15 minutes, twice a day to wipe everything down. It is such a great setup and my kids could stay all day playing!

This is a good place to go to if the weather isn't good! I will say, it is definitely a hit or miss experience. There have been times where we have had a good time with our children but there have been times where it wasn't as enjoyable. This review is for a less enjoyable time. First of all, I will just say that the workers that were there when I was there during this time were very inconsiderate. We came to play because we wanted our son to get out and burn off some energy. We get to the place and the workers were blaring the music so loud. I couldn't even hear myself. Typically on a normal day they usually play kids music like a Disney playlist. The day I went they were very inappropriate and explicit music catering more towards adults than children. When I say, the music was loud, it was loud and I'm not exaggerating. My friend, and I couldn't even hear each other while we were having a conversation. Like we literally had to raise our voices. The music was so loud to where we couldn't hear our children were crying in the castle. I thought, surely the workers would realize how loud the music is and also how inappropriate it is for a children's environment. I look over at them and they are just dancing and not even having a care in the world. I wish there were an email I could reach out to the manager to share this experience with. It was pretty obnoxious how loud the music was and careless the workers were. Pretty disappointed in that experience. I've also had experiences were the employees weren't really nice. They were kind of rude. They're pretty strict on rules (understandable) but how they enforce them, they could definitely do better.

I didn't even know this existed until my great niece had her 4th birthday party here! It was FANTASTIC! The whole place just for your kids and their party! I also learned you can reserve time for your kids to play for free and then the food court is right there when they're done to get lunch or a treat!
