Lake House Reception Center

I visited this venue for a wedding recently and it's absolutely gorgeous. I love the water feature, it was great for pictures. It is a small venue but it didn't feel cramped. All staff were very nice and we didn't feel rushed at all during the experience!

I had my wedding reception there and the hostess and service staff were exceptional and catered to our every need. I had gotten a skirt from Amazon and had no idea the skirt had a hole in it. The hostess noticed and immediately took cake of my skirt so that I looked good for my reception party!

Our wedding reception at Lake House Reception Center was perfect thanks to Lauren's hard work, attention to detail, professionalism, passion for ensuring excellence, and the fact that she honestly cares about her customers and their experience. Lauren went above and beyond to make us comfortable, confident, and feel at ease before and during our event. She was so caring and attentive to us throughout the entire planning process and actual event that we now consider her a friend. Our guests raved about the venue, the attention to every detail, customer service by the entire staff, and the food. We will never forget our special day at Lake House and highly recommend it to everyone for any event. Thank you Lauren!!!!

I cannot recommend Lake House enough! It's a beautiful location and the staff's attention to detail is top notch! There are so many great places for pictures. All over the grounds and the wrap around porch are pretty. Inside there are mantles/fireplaces and chandeliers and lots of windows! We booked our reception with Lake House a couple months before COVID started. Once we realized this wasn't going away before our wedding in December, we decided to meet with Lauren to discuss postponing. We were able to come to an agreement on a new date the following December (2021). Lauren helped us orchestrate picking up samples of the food so we could make our menu selections. She was also always available to answer questions and offer suggestions. When I waited too long to order my flowers, she did them herself and they were BEAUTIFUL. I do not recommend this though, she has enough to do without doing flowers! She seemed to just fill in all the holes that I missed. Like a wedding super hero or something! She and the rest of the staff were amazing before and during our party. Regularly asking if we needed anything to drink/eat (because we all know how thirsty you'll be when you get stuck talking to that relative that you can't get away from lol). Lauren suggested that we use our "signature drink" for our toasting photos and even thought to not get the sugar on the rim of my glass so it wouldn't mess up my lipstick! She literally thought of ALL the things - like she's done this before or something!

Went to a beautiful wedding there. The building itself is phenomenal and an amazing place to hold an event. It's your classic southern, plantation style home. Spacious parking, and Staff was also pretty good. Bathrooms and all rooms were well kept. Only issue I have was the lack of seating. There was a slight drizzle of rain earlier in the day and I wish they had some type of porch covering that would've let people sit outside without the worry of it being wet. Even during the ceremony there were people standing.

I got married here last weekend. The venue was beautiful and the wait staff was awesome, except for David(the venue coordinator) was very rude and off putting. I've talked to several other brides who advised me to have my own day of planner and that's what ended up making the difference. Aside from that, my hostesses kept a list of everyone who was at the venue and checked them in. At the bed of the night David told me that I was 26 people over. Once I had an opportunity to look at my list, I realized that overcharged me by about 15 people. I do not believe that the wait staff counted as well. I believe if they did count, he said a completely different number. Because of this, I rate my experience two stars.

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding that took place on April 22, 2017. I have never in my life seen a place more unorganized during a wedding ceremony. The mothers were not walked down the isle, which also means the unity candles were not lit. The best man had to use his BIC green lighter in the middle of the ceremony to light the candles. The "coordinator" never talked to the officiant who wasn't able to make it to the rehearsal. He was so short with everyone and made us feel like all of our questions were stupid, but for a wedding coordinator, the questions pertained to his job. He was completely invisible while we were all getting ready, when we walked out the mothers and the ring bearer were sitting with the guests. It was just completely unprofessional. I am so glad the bride was in the back and couldn't see most of the chaos that was happening. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

The outside wedding area at Lake House was really beautiful and was perfect for our dream wedding. We had our ceremony out by the lake at night. The wedding coordinator made everything flow so smoothly.We had a very lovely reception, buffet style. The food tasted great and was presented very nicely. The staff was very friendly and easy to work with. The DJ services that they offer were great. The menu package pricing was reasonable. I loved that we could get most all services directly from the Lakehouse. All my guests and family were so happy with our wedding and reception. I cannot thank the Lakehouse enough!

Only because zero stars aren't available. This was quite possibly the worst venue and staff we've ever experienced at a wedding. First the Staff - rude, disrespectful, disorganized, unprofessional and poorly prepared. After the snide comments from the staff, the horrific mismanagement of the procession of the wedding party, and the poor wedding arrangement - it was crowned by having family seated outdoors and then the door was locked. As for the venue - the food was cool to cold, poorly seasoned, and the quantity regulated (fried fish). The bar was moderately stocked with a variety of liquors, but ran dry in 2 hours. The wedding party attendants had to navigate OVER shrubbery and into mud - just to stand for the bride and groom. Let's not forget the unending traffic on Old Hammond - road noise and horns - awesome.......not. The PA system was atrocious for an outdoor event. The place allows only a 3 person rehearsal - how in the heck is that accomplished? Bride, groom and officiant?The grounds are quite nice for photos - but that is the end of the positives. It's amazing that people actually pay to get married here. It should be reversed.
