Lagniappe Restaurant

We were on our way to another restaurant, but it was closed, so we stopped here instead . We are so happy we did! We both got ribeyes and were not disappointed. Will definitely be back!

Grabbed a to go order of the regular... shrimp sandwiches, roast beef sandwiches and catfish. All good! Definitely recommend!

So we were on our way to another town and decided to stop in despite the parking lot being empty. My husband said we ought to give it a try because the reviews for the place have to come from somewhere. So glad we did! Our server, Christina, was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. Best spaghetti and meatballs I've ever had outside of my own kitchen. Seriously. The meatballs were soooo good. Portions were great too. Husband had his fave, hamburger steak, and he enjoyed it as well. The place is definitely a bit aged in decor and some booths had duct tape on the seating . I would say give them a try because it was truly great small town, home cooking! We will be back for sure as it is on the way to our grandbaby's house .

This is the worst red fish ever. Tasted like a mouthful of Tony's. Do not waste your money.

A very healthy variety of food. Everything I have tried here has been pretty good, but nothing has stood out as an extraordinary meal. A good place to go if your group cannot decide on what kind of food they want.

This is a cute little restaurant on Hwy 22. We spent last weekend at Lake Maurepas, so we decided to stop at Lagniappe on the way back. Their menu is extremely diverse, with seafood items, your typical hamburger/steak/chicken options, plus a Mexican and Italian section to the menu. Typically I would complain that they should narrow down the choices and focus on a few amazing selections... but since this is pretty much the only dine-in restaurant in the area, it's good to offer a ton of options. They have a full bar too. The service was great, and the food was excellent. My in-laws ordered the seafood special, which consisted of fried shrimp and some other battered seafood. They liked it. I got the chicken, and Dann got the hamburger steak. Both were delicious. All of their entrees are served with a side item and a side salad. Nothing fancy about the salad, but it was good too.We'll be back, should we find ourselves in need of a good meal after boating around the lake.

Went there today, expecting to get a good steak. Instead, I got a steak that was overcooked. I asked for medium rare I got medium well the manager says oh no, that is medium rare told him no. So he suggested next time I order the steak rare. So I had to pay for the whole steak dinner, so the dog got steak for dinner that is my last time to ever step foot back in that restaurant again it is not worth the money.The waitress was very good. It did not interfere with her tip.Ribeye SteakPlus, they need to clean the grill. You could taste the crunchy in the steak.

Service was fine for takeout but I was really upset at the cost. Seriously too expensive for what we got. Plus the dessert was horrible. A ding dong would have been better. I think next time I'll go next door to Charlie's.

The food was really good. I had the hamburger steak with fries and it was excellent! We also had the fried pickles with ranch that was seasoned well and cooked perfectly.

I was new to the area and I stopped in to see what they first and for most the waitress there Monique was amazing she really went above and beyond her job she knew so much about the menu and she really knows how to sell there menu up she was very attentive and extremely hard working we both had the 12 oz ribeye it was beyond perfection and to be honest I believe this will be our new place to eat every other week on our date and we will definitely be returning and asking for Monique as our server and we will try other things will keep you updated on new things I definitely recommend this place and if Monique is working ask for her she is awesome... hands down 5 stars I had a hot fudge brownie I posted a pic of it
