This Lagniappe Exchange is the gift/convenience store at the Hyatt Regency located next to Starbucks in the back area of the atrium on the 2nd floor. When you first walk in, you see additional deli and beverage items for sale besides the standard souvenir Mardi Gras type trinkets. I needed to pick up some cough drops and couldn't find them anywhere. The clerk told me they run out fast and to walk 3 blocks to a CVS drug store which I ended up doing. I did save money that way but it wasn't convenient to walk the 3 city blocks to the CVS store just for cough drops.

Lagniappe Exchange is a convenience store / general merchandise store / souvenir shop located in the Hyatt Regency hotel. And like any other major hotel, they charge a premium price for the "convenience". But don't let that be a deterrent from going here, especially if you are staying at the Hyatt or attending a conference in their conference center. This store is typical to most other hotel convenience/souvenir stores. You can buy toiletry items, drinks, snacks, souvenirs, cookbooks or hot sauce However, they also have a daily variety of freshly made (on-site) sandwiches, salads and wraps. I've eaten the sandwiches, salads and wraps here and it's better than going to Subway, albeit priced a little higher. Kudos to Lagniappe Exchange for offering a very cool beer selection as well. There's really not much more to say about this place other than if you're looking for bargain basement prices, don't come here.

Lagniappe Exchange is the souvenir/general merchandise shop in the Hyatt Hotel. While it isn't technically in the lobby, it is near the conference center and is easy to find, once you know where to look. The shop is typical of many hotels. It contains the obligatory Louisiana souvenirs. Need a cookbook, hot sauce or Mardi Gras mask? You can buy it here. The shop also has various snacks, drinks and magazines. The one surprising feature of this little shop was the variety of beer available. Sure it wasn't cheap, but there were several craft beers that one would normally only find in a specialty store. Kudos to whomever is their beer sommelier or whatever that's called when dealing with beer.In summary, if you're at the Hyatt and need any of the items I listed, come here. If not, don't.

4,99$ for a bottle of Dasani water and 6,89$ for a cup of fruits. Are you serious?Seen they had croissants and they were also in the 4$ price section. If you need anything I suggest you go to Rouse´s which is just around the corner.

THIS PLACE IS EXPENSIVE!! $3.99 for a bottle of OJ. Seriously?? Seriously walk the 2 blocks down to the CVS. Also, if you charge stuff to your room it takes a crazy process to checkout. They ask your room number, name. Then they print out two pieces of paper that you have to DO THE SAME THING AGAIN, give them your room and name. Stop with the madness!

Usually a convenient place to pick up something quick. It is a bit pricey, but expected, for a convenience store. However, service is usually mediocre at best. As I entered the store the attendant went into the back room and slammed the door shut. When she came out of the room after several minutes, this time around, the attendant was at best useless, and quite rude. I feel sorry for making her do her job and ring up a sale, NOT.

Here on a business trip and stop there to pick up something for breakfast. The worse customer service ever. The lady work there when I went is the biggest snob. Never going back the whole week I'm here. I'll take my business somewhere else that knows customer service.
