Great little hotel bar. Beautiful seating area. Sunday, Dec 8th at 2pm there is plenty of seating. The game is on, the volume is up. You can hear and see the game. 2 of the 3 tvs are on and showing the games. They have both a men's and women's clean restrooms. If you are looking for a quiet bar to relax in and watch the game then this is your spot. Away from the hustle and bustle of bourbon street.

We stopped here on the haunted ghost tour, and I don't really have a lot to say because it was a quick stop! But the bathrooms were well maintained and good, the lobby area was very pretty and had a piano and music playing, and I got the Purple Drank, which was basically a very grape flavored frozen beverage that was great for carrying around on the rest of the tour.

I'm a big fan of historic hotels. What they may lack in modern frills, they more than make up for with character. We booked the top floor loft for our group of four and it was so cute! The slanted roofline may have lead to a few head bumps but we eventually got the hang of ducking when we got too close to the wall and it added to the authenticity of the room. 0ur room had two queen beds and a small bathroom but plenty of space for all our luggage. There was even an extra vanity space outside of the bathroom. To access this room you have to climb one set of stairs but there is an elevator to help lug your suitcase up the first couple of flights. I liked that it's on Bourbon Street and only a few blocks away from the action but just far enough away that it's quiet. I'd definitely stay here on a future New Orleans trip.

During our haunted tour of New Orleans, our tour paused at Lafitte's for a bathroom and drink break. Lafitte's hotel and bar offers all the same options as the bar across the street, so our tour guide told us that we were fine at either option. He actually recommended the hotel for the nicer bathroom. The bathroom was clean and it was nice to get some AC in their nice first floor lounge area. There was a musician playing and it was a lovely environment. If there's anything you take away from this review though, YOU DON'T HAVE TO ORDER A HURRICANE. OR A PURPLE DRANK! Some will tell you, when in New Orleans! Others will give you a warning. Listen to the warning. It's not the alcohol that will get you. It's the pure syrupy sugar! Especially on a hot New Orleans day, it's a deadly combination. But they offer it in a custom little cup, so you'll think it's worth it, but it's not! I wish I had gotten a normal drink instead. Would have saved me the literal headache!

This is a nice historic bar and hotel. We didn't stay here but we had drinks at the bar and had a really good conversation with the bartender named Eljay. Drinks were good and reasonable, it's on bourbon street but far enough from the crowd.

If you are looking for a fancy hotel, this is not it. This hotel is for those looking for amazing history and a unique touch. Every little corner in this hotel is perfectly decorated and has that antique touch to it. The staff that works at this hotel is just beyond amazing and accommodating! We got the 3rd floorRoom overlooking st Philip (room 32). I highlyRecommend this room. It is perfect to sit outside on the balcony at night to listen to the music from the piano bar across the street. In my opinion, the best place to be on bourbon. It's away from all the craziness and it has the best bar ever across the street.

We chose not to stay . . . Prevalent smell of mold throughout the building. Dirty room including brick dust from the wall on the furniture and a dirty bathroom (including red gelatinous substance inside of the shower, which was obvious and had to have been left from the previous guests I.e. no one cleaned the bathroom with any kind of cleaning agent after the last guest). Great location though

Made reservation 10 m9nths in advance. Not even a week after I realized I couldn't go at that time. They said they would check on refund. I followed up five times. No answer.

I emailed them soon after I made my reservation which I made almost a year in advance and told them I needed to cancel. They said they would check with the owners. Several emails later sent from me and still no response. I'm out $500 because of greed on their part. I gave them almost a years notice so they have ample time to book the room. Unbelievably bad customer service. Thanks for not being compassionate about my situation.
