Love it. I work close so I go here quite often for lunch or after work. My usuals are the chicken or beef enchiladas but, of course, you'll find all of the dishes you'd expect to find at a Mexican restaurant. You won't be disappointed with the options or quality of the food here. The couple who own the place are very friendly and personal. Both have made me feel at home and welcomed since my very first visit when it first popped up in the area. From my experiences there, there seem to be a lot of regulars and a most of diners seem to know each other and have gotten to know the owners well from frequenting the restaurant so often which should tell you something about the quality of the food and feel of the place. There are lunch specials but the prices on the regular menu aren't that bad either. I don't think I've ever paid over $20 for my meal and a drink which includes chips and salsa, so you can't complain about that. I've never had an adult beverage there since I'm mostly going midday during work but there is a bar there and if I come later people are often enjoying margaritas and such. Yes. Definitely go support this local business if you're in the mood for Mexican food. Not sure how close it is to do everyone else in that area but it would be worth a little drive as well. For me it's great to have an option for lunch, besides Subway or the Chinese place in that same shopping center. Looking forward to my next visit!

Just "happened by" this little spot. First, the service was wonderful. Very attentive from wait staff to owners. Second, cute inside. Its a small restaurant with a bar area, outdoor seating, football showing, about 15 tables. Third, the pricing is incredible for today's restaurant landscape. Now for the food....started with the typical chips, salsa and queso with a coconut margarita for me. Chips were hot and didn't have that "old grease" taste but were typical. Coconut margarita great! Hubbie ordered chili relenos meal. He requested that they add beef to filling. I got a quesadilla. Hubbie loved his meal. He said the gravy that covered it made the dish. It was spicy though but he likes that. We will definately find our way back.

This was the first Mexican restaurant we tried after moving to Louisiana from California. I was really hoping it would be a hit, as it's close to home. However, I don't have to go back. The restaurant was nice and clean. The service was quick, and the waiter was pleasant. However, my food was blah. To be honest, I don't remember what the rice and beans tasted like, but I know I didn't finish them. The cheese sauce on my chicken enchilada tasted like the cheese sauce you buy in the jar and heat in the microwave. My husband's taco salad was the most basic taco salad I've ever seen. He would've done better going to Chipotle. I gave it 2 stars since my daughter did enjoy her birria tacos.

I was surprised to find interior Mexican food only a few minutes from my home in Pelican Crossing. To be fair, I moved to the area from Austin, Texas, where Fonda San Miguel restaurant is one of the best, if not the best, interior Mexican restaurants in the US. The chili relleno was good, but they only have them stuffed with cheese (I prefer the shredded pork picadillo). I tried their flautas, but they were rather chewy. The dining room is nice, the owners are friendly and approachable, and take out was a snap. They even have a very nice bar. I would certainly go back there again.
