Ordered a Mardi Gras king cake for Fat Tuesday to be delivered to Florida. It arrived fresh and delicious! What a treat for us! Thank you so much. I will use La Louisiane again!

Though they might not get all the press, I write with confidence knowing that La Louisiane is an outstanding bakery in the New Orleans area. Located in a semi-sleepy warehouse'y area of Elmswood, they manage to crank out delicious baked goods daily and have made a name for themselves through local catering.While they bake a number of things, I think it's safe to say cakes are their most popular item. They make really awesome wedding cakes, sheet cakes, cupcakes, and a really stellar king cake. The latter is available year round, which is really convenient. The doberge cake is perfect for chocolate lovers and the NOLA wedding cake is decadent. A lot of people sleep on their ooey gooey cake, but it's definitely one of the most indulgent things they make. Their custom cakes look incredible and are extremely creative.They also bake some really high quality bread. From french bread to pastries, they can produce stuff perfect for building the perfect muffuletta, poboy, or the underrated but always lovely pullman loaves. They also make muffins, fruit tarts, pies, and the coolest swan shaped cream puffs.Delivery is available and the customer service is really outstanding. Email is an easy way to get in touch but they're really good about helping folks establish the perfect sweet / tasty lineup for all special occasions.

La Louisiane Bakery did my daughter's wedding cake and we were very happy with it. Not only was it beautiful but it tasted incredible!!! My daughter chose different flavors for the different layers and they were all yummy. We had quite a bit of leftover cake and it was still fresh a week later!! The groom's cake was shaped like a book since the groom loves to write and it was the best chocolate cake I've ever tasted. Our guests raved about the cake and many of them had several pieces. I would absolutely recommend this bakery for your wedding needs.

Guess what day it is. That's right! It's King Cake Day 2019 at our apartment! My mom (a true Louisiana lady) has been sending us king cakes for years since we live so far away. I grew up looking forward to king cake each year, and unless it's made in Louisiana it just ain't that good. We have been receiving La Louisiane king cakes for years now, and we look forward to every single bite. As soon as we finish our king cake each year we start counting down the days until we get our refill the following year! This particular Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday for the uninitiated) the cake arrived extra fresh and delicious. Now, I don't have to give you a geography lesson, but Kent, Washington is a heck of a long ways away from New Orleans (pronounced N'worluns), and don't it just beat all that it tastes just like it came right out the oven and rolled around in the icing and glitter? Why, the plastic Baby Jesus himself was hanging on to that cake just about ready to dive in! This cake traveled 2,604 miles just for us, and let me tell y'all right there that we will treasure every bite. Laissez les bons temps rouler! Thank ya kindly, La Louisiane!

Another solid King Cake bakery. I haven't been to the actual store. Their cakes are at various locations around the city. A coworker brought this one today.We had the pecan praline version which was more of a topping then a filling. The pecan praline was tasty without being too sweet (emphasis on pecan rather than praline which I appreciated). I did have to dump off some of the icing. That was a little too sweet for me first thing in the morning.Tasty.

I ordered a cake for my friends 30th birthday. I kind of waited until the last minute, but they were able to accommodate. Not only did the cake look phenomenal, but it was delicious. I also I thought the cake would be covered in fondant but it wasn't. The cake was so perfectly smooth and beautiful that the fondant was not missed at all.

La Louisiane did amazing job bringing my semi-naked wedding cake to life. From the initial tasting process all the way to pickup, they were professional, communicative, and above all, delivered a DELICIOUS cake for my special day.

I always buy my La Louisiane cream cheese filled King Cakes from Sams in Kenner. They are delicious. Lots of cream cheese filling, yummy. I will visit the bakery one day to try their other bakery products.
