La Fiesta Brava

Went here for lunch a couple days ago. Salsa and chips are decent. Staff was quick to sit you down and attentive. The place was half packed and we got our food relatively quick. I got the steak fajita and it was $12. It was good however the portion size of the platter which consisted of the steak and veggies was lacking. Typically all the Mexican restaurants I've been to (several from different states and I love Mexican food) are super generous with their portions, enough for you to bring home for lunch the next day. I would've gave a higher rating if the portion size was what I was used to...unless this is how they roll in biloxi.

I love it here my family and I visit this establishment a few times a month, the food is great and service has always been prompt.

The food is great but I will never eat at any of their locations again. I used to eat there at least twice a week and found out that they offer a military discount. I asked why wasn't given the discount all the times that I had come in and was in my uniform. The waiter said, "you have to ask for it even if you are in uniform". I explained to the waiter that had I not been looking at the floor while waiting to check out, I would not even noticed the sign. The waiter then said, "most military members don't want the discount so we no longer ask". I spoke to the manager and was offered a frequent meal card! After eating here twice a week for months and being dissed by my waiter I was offered a frequent meal card!!! I had already earned five cards and missed out on a discount that could have saved me money. So I decided to save a lot of money and never go to any of the locations again. I am in no way saying that the military should get special treatment. However, if you enter a business and they offer a discount it should be visible. This was like going to buy something that was on sale and I wasn't given the sale price because I didn't ask the cashier to ring up the item under the sale price. Just wrong!!!!!

The service it atrocious here, I waited forever to place my order and I was only one of three tables in the whole joint. The chips and salsa were average to good. I ordered the taco and chile relleno combo. The taco was taco bell quality. The chile relleno was filled with some cheese I have never seen in a chile relleno.. it was sweet almost like cream chees and then near the stem was hamburger. That would have been fine except there was a visible amount of hamburger grease pooled up around the relleno. Looks-wise not very appetizing. The service was the deal breaker for me, I asked the waitress three times for a to go box, and then she never returned with my credit card... I had to hunt her down to get it back. While I was waiting for what seemed like hours for my check I saw some innocent victims walk in the door for some terrible service, I wanted to warn them but chose not too. Go elsewhere.

Appears to have been recently remodeled. Formerly Monterrey Grill & Cantina. Very comfortable ambience. Very good food, fast & excellent service. Inexpensive. Full bar. We will go there again.
