This place is always one of our favorite spots for a nice patio lunch. Great service, food, drinks, and location. Today I had the chilaquiles, which is a nice blend of steak, eggs, beans, tortilla chips, and onions. The carnitas and la Mexicana are also delicious.

If you're looking for a Mexican restaurant that has something for everyone, La Carreta is the place for you! The food is good and the prices are reasonable. They have a daily happy hour, which is great, but know that for the discounted margs, it only applies to their house margs and not the hand-crafted ones (which come in a wide variety of delicious flavor combos - don't miss out on the pineapple cilantro!).The place itself is large with an outdoor patio (although I was there with the hubby while it was raining, so we didn't check it out). Service was quick, but our particular waitress was not super attentive (we waited a while for her to clear dishes and receive the bill while the place was not busy at all) and while I appreciated and enjoyed the large margarita I ordered, she had not asked what size I wanted, nor did she tell us about the happy hour menu limitations (it's listed on the bar menu, but not clear that not all margaritas are included - glad I know for next time. Perhaps she assumed we knew, but I've grown somewhat accustomed to people asking if was our first time dining (but perhaps I'm picky).I had the chicken chimichanga, which I normally save half of anytime I order it out, but I was so hungry and it was so delicious I completed housed it! It comes with a small salad, rice, and beans - all of which I also ate.Bonus points here for the location as it's in an area where there's a lot of housing, but not a lot of super close, non-fast food places.

A very run of mill mediocre Mexican restaurant. The complimentary salsa is smooth and tasty. The appetizer trio lacks flavor. The beef fajita nachos (one can get also have it with ground beef or chicken) was devoid of meat. Tiny little pieces of fajita meat were sprinkled about. Do not get the Chile relleno. It has absolutely no flavor. The pork tamales were the best item along with their complimentary salsa and chips. Ask for extra sauce for the tamales. The tortilla soup is actually quite good.

Have come several times now for margaritas on the patio and food is consistently good. Servers are quick and attentive, we had Leilynn and she was wonderful! I had the skinny margarita and it was delish! Also shared guacamole and fajitas and both were a large portion and fresh. Love their outdoor patio, there's room for kids to roam and a large area with several large games. Perfect for families with small kiddos who like to move around during the meal!

La Carreta's service was absolutely great and the inside is very nice, super vibrant. Great service can only do so much, the food was quite below average. I settled on the quesa-Birria and Al carbon tacos... The quesa-Birria tacos looked great but there's really not any flavor and the meat isn't very tender at all. The soup is just... ehh.The Al carbon tacos were a dud as well cold corn tortillas, it wouldn't hurt to warm the tortilla on the grill. The meat was so dry and chewy and once again... where was the flavor?!

I had the enchiladas plate, with refried beans, rice and two enchiladas with there special red sauce. The red sauce was not special, it lacked flavor and was very bland, on the tortillas, I did not eat the tortillas or the red sauce. I did remove the chicken and beef from them to eat but that was not a wow either. I also ordered a small top shelf margarita, which was a disappointment for it was very weak and a waste of money. I decided to give the server my order review of the meal, for if we don't tell them they will think everyone loves their food. So I share my opinion, even if they do not take it seriously. The place was kinda dead for a Monday night and service could have been a little better. Over all I give them an "F" and will not be back.

I was ignored by three different employees for about five minutes as o waited to pick up carry out. When I did get waited on the waitress set my order on the bar, along with the check and walked away. I gave her the $40 in cash for an $18.56 tab, which she passed to someone and she walked away again. Five more minutes later she gives me $19, two fives and 9 ones but not the .44 cents in change. I suppose that's all she wanted. I obliged her. I won't go there again. The taco salad had a quarter cup of lettuce and it was cold.
