We came here seeking sushi and shrimp. We were not disappointed. Every time I come here, the service is amazing, the food is delicious, and the resturaunt itself was started by Japanese workers. Overall... delicious and highly recommended.

Hibachi lunch was a great price. Salmon was delicious, hibachi vegetables too! The rice could have been better.

They have 3 simple rolls for $15.99 (yes, inflation has hit). I got the tuna and avocado roll (very tasty), i got the salmon roll and the honey shrimp roll. The latter was excellent x the tuna was good and the salmon could have been fresher. The miso soup was excellent with a robust flavor and white tasty.

This place surprised me! Being a local, it's hard to imagine this place not as Pizza Hut lolIt hasn't really been remodeled on the inside either, but the menu options are great. I never saw a drink menu but I ordered sake. The crab puffs are amazing for an appetizer. I ordered the vegetable noodles and the big easy roll (add avocado and cream cheese)... it was delicious! I would definitely eat here again.. pleasantly surprised!

This place is great!!! The tuna and snow-crab was really fresh!! I got the special wonton nachos with avocado, snow crab, and tuna with spicy mayo on top! It was AMAZING! The crab puffs and the clear soup was also soo good! The hwy 90 roll was the best!!! I even forgot my purse and they were honest people and held it for me!! Will definitely be back!!

It was okay. The sushi was mediocre. The waitress dropped some of my sister's sushi on the table and stared at her say omg what do I do. They decided to replace the pieces that fell on the table, which I'm still trying to figure how you make two pieces. Anyways, it is the only sushi place in Raceland/Matthews that I'm aware of so I'd go back if I really want sushi while in that area.

For the location not a bad place. The roll was a little warm. Had good taste and I left full. The tempura didn't have much taste so not recommended. So I got the shrimp and veggie tempura and the Pink lady roll. Also got one of the cheaper rolls. Even cheap not worth the money. So pay for the better rolls.

This California gal lives in the bayou now. When I first moved here the choices of places to dine were slim.Hello Lafourche parish, there's a new sheriff in town wearing a Samurai sword. Welcome Kyoto Steakhouse and Sushi! We've already dined here several times and the food is beautiful and fresh. The menu hosts a wide variety of Japanese favorites, Sushi, Hibachi, Teriyaki, Tempura, Bento Boxes(a little bit of everything).....and a few surprises thrown in....like Udon and Soba dishes, Katsu( breaded chicken or pork) and Unagi Don(BBQ eel).We are a sushi kinda family and order sashimi, sushi and rolls. My personal favorite is the Bad Girl Roll, but she's super gorgeous to the eye and leaves you wanting more. The last time we dined we ordered so many different kinds of sushi type items that the chef put it into one of those fancy boats and my lad was over the moon with excitement. The Teriyaki dinner Bento box is a great way to enjoy everything they have to offer, with enough for leftovers. In additional to our normal selections we are taking food to go, chicken Hibachi with double noodles and the chicken Katsu dinner. The chicken hibachi is always a good choice, when ordering food for a next day meal, but my son and I fought over the chicken katsu, beautifully light breaded chicken breast over a bed a stir fried cabbage/veggies and a side of steamed rice. It was delicious.Since my first visit they've up'd their game and added staff members. The food prep time seems to have sped up as well. I'm a super happy girl these days knowing that I need not travel too far to get Japanese cuisine. If you're ever traveling out these parts, stop in.....you won't be disappointed!

When it comes to local Japanese cuisine here in the Houma area, there usually isn't too much difference between "Japanese" restaurants. I put it in quotations because they all are Americanized Japanese cuisine. Most of the Hibachi tastes the same. Most of the sushi rolls are typically the same. They usually have the same soups and same appetizers. Not many places in this area attempt anything creative to stand out. So from a creative food standpoint, this place is pretty typical of the area. But they do it fairly well. Kyoto had a very family atmosphere. Our server was awesome, and all of the staff was very friendly. The appetizers and sushi rolls were all nice and fresh. Most of us ordered Hibachi. Be warned, if you are coming here for a live Hibachi show, they do not have Hibachi tables. They cook it in the kitchen. The filet was cooked to perfection for my hibachi, but lacked a little bit of flavor. My only real complaint was the vegetables on the hibachi were too cooked down and was a very small portion. The fried rice was just ok. The BMW roll was good. The restaurant was a little chilly. I assume they never adjusted it after the sun went down. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. The portions are big. Definitely shareable. It was a lot better than a few places in Houma.
