It just isn't the holiday season without the Krewe of Jingle. It's one of the highlights of Christmas time in New Orleans. The parade isn't unreasonably long, so if you have children, there's just a short amount of time to keep them occupied. However, there aren't as many big floats so smaller children may be less interested. There are lots of plush and candies thrown, however, plus your standard amount of beads, so children will waddle/walk away with their fill of new goodies. As an adult (without kids), I love this parade for its lack of huge crowds, some great throws, and the community atmosphere. And, of course, it just isn't Christmas until Mr. Bingle precedes Santa and Mrs. Claus on the route.

I always miss this parade for one reason or another... working, out of town, etc. So I finally put it on my list of things to do this past weekend. And... yknow it was OK. First I am so very grateful that Carnival krewe floats MUST (by law) remain ad free. The sponsored floats are kind of sad to me. OTH, if I won the lottery I would totally sponsor a Jen's Friends float in all these ridic parades and have a moving party. So yeah. 10 floats (yawn) and beaucoup marching groups, which I really enjoyed how the different groups jazzed up their outfits with Holiday flair. Also I'm going to push this review up to a 4 for the McMain band which reminded me why I miss catching parades downtown. That drumline echoing between the buildings is the BEST!So if you're around, go check it out but don't make a special trip in for it. But as always, any parade is better than no parade!

This is a very short parade of 10 floats with dance groups, bands, car groups etc in between. The crowd is not as large as other parade which is great for first time parade folks. You may catch candy, stuffed animals, regular beads, special beads etc during this parade. Enjoy and dance on the street with the groups. We stood at St. Charles and Gravier and didn't have a problem seeing or even walking up close to the floats. #nolaparades#kreweofjingle#nolachristmas

A small Christmas parade but it is still a min representation of the NOLA parade culture with throws of beads and candy and dance troupes such as the The Muffalottas the Pussy Footers and Camel Toes Steppers and HS bands. Only 10-12 floats but the parade is slowly growing bigger each year. Its a good small kickoff parade for the Christmas season.
