The other truck float...if you can stand to be out through the 100 or so trucks in Elks, you can then see Crescent City, which is more of the same. Kids love the volume of throws. Adults are annoyed by the constant horn blowing. But I'm giving them a plus one star (to 4) since almost every float seemed to be playing some NOLA bounce music.

I have always loved the truck parades, but I usually just watch them. This year I decided to actually get out there in the street and see them up close. The trucks in the truck parade are hit or miss: the folks are either throwing a lot, or they are just sitting there taking in the sights. The cool thing is that all of the floats are individual to one another- there is no real theme and they kind of just do their own thing. I caught a few good things, but I wasn't here for the throws as much as I was just enjoying the last parade of the season, as the day wound down. Also, I caught a doll that I was pretty excited about.

This is on of my favorite parades, the truck parades. I always manage to walk a way with a ton of goodies out of this parade and krewe of Orleans Elks parade. they run back to back so that is helpful. Great way to enjoy fat Tuesday!

This is the parade that very closely follow immediately right after Elks. So immediately, that you might think the two is one big parade. These are also truck floats that has just about any and every thing being thrown to screaming crawds as throws! So fun I tell yah. This yr there were about 60 something floats. It was exciting! I enjoyed myself and my son as well!
