The restaurant is very clean, well decorated and has a nice vibe. It's open on both sides to the lobby. The bar is the main focal point. There was only a bartender and a barback. There was one other table besides ours and a few people at the bar. The bartender came to take our order. He didn't write it down and of course it came out wrong. He seemed more interested in talking to the patrons at the bar than waiting on the two tables he had. Our service was terrible. He completely forgot about it. The barback was the only one who tried to help us. He was very sweet & hardworking. I had to go to the bar to get our check and he told me that he had gotten caught up in conversation. He didn't apologize about our food or ask if we needed anything else. Very disappointed!!

The food was great. I had the burger with pepper jack cheese and fries. The bartender recommended it and rightly so. The old fashioned went smoothly and well with it. Look forward to my next stop there for the historian happy hour.

Kilroy's is absolutely gorgeous, with fantastic period ambiance replete with incredible period touches that nod to ward World War II history and tie it in with the National World War II Museum next door and the spectacular Highins Hotel in which Kilroy's is situated. I'm a cocktail nerd, and Kilroy's signature cocktails are always amazing. This is one of my favorite places to pregame or postgame for a day at the museum or a nearby Mardi Gras parade. Parking is in the same building, so it's a convenient place as well. Food is delicious as well.

Nice ambiance, great service, ordered hamburgers and a iceberg wedge salad and it was on point. Our server Roxie was fantastic and to top of it off, she was very knowledgeable about bourbon!

We were staying at the hotel for work, and it also happened to be when the Colts (our team) was in town to play the Saints. Sadly the colts lost, but we decided to stop by the bar for a drink before heading to bed. The patrons at the bar started cheering for the Saints (which was perfectly fine and all in good fun), but after several minutes of screaming at us and in our face, we left. The bartender and manager did nothing to control the crowd. This is a hotel establishment... not a bar in the French quarter. I paid to stay here; not be yelled at and harassed without anyone from the hotel saying anything. Completely unacceptable at this type of place. Will not be coming back to the bar OR hotel.

Was told by a local that the Curio Hotel by Hilton was the place to visit because of its nod to the 1940s with its decor and music. Kilroy did not disappoint. It brings you back to the World War II era with a cool and modern edge. Highly recommend to stop in for a drink!

The bar located in the Higgens Hotel is pretty nice. Has a great mix of drink and food. Sadly, they do not care much about their clientele. On our way back to our room, we decided to stop in and grab a dessert and maybe a drink or two after watching a football game at the Superdome. Sadly, our team lost, and the patrons couldn't just let us wallow in our sorrow. They had to rub it in our faces the entire time and yell repeatedly at us and not let us speak to anyone else in our party. Talk about sore winners. We eventually left without getting anything, since it was clear we were not going to be welcome there, and were heckled until we were out of eyesight. The management clearly didn't care about our business, nor the staff. I would understand if this were a restaurant or an independent bar, but this is located in a hotel where many different customers can show up. Show some respect to your PAYING customers if you want them to ever come back again.

The ambiance takes you back to the 1940s. The decor is so classic with a modern twist. You get the feels of the war down to the music. I enjoyed walking into the hotel and taken back on time. So appropriate since the hotel is right next to the WWII museum. I ordered the Nola "Blonde" Ale is was really good and cold! Joshua was super attentive, friendly and polite. Although initially we stopped at the hotel because of the known decor we sat down to drink because of the welcoming waiter. Thanks for making us feel at home.

The ambiance is fine but would've been better with a competent wait staff. I'm here now. There are 4 staff behind the bar doing nothing. I wish someone would ask me if I want another drink. One of the wait staff is checking her phone, and the others are busily doing nothing important behind the bar. Chatting. Bummer.

No way of telling the actual status of their hours, just got an Uber from across town to find out they're closed. Didn't think I'd have to call a bar on a Saturday night to verify they're open at 930pm, but here we are
