Kermit's Treme Mother In Law Lounge

No-frills, but awesome music by Kermit and friends.Arrived after a short cab ride from our hotel in the Quarter. Had a very enjoyable time.

Definitely a vibe for the grown and sexy. LOL. Now that I'm in my 30s, I have a deep appreciation for more intimate bars. I really like the "jazz ambiance" and the fact that it is situated right in the heart of the 7th ward. Grab a drink, chill in one of the big chairs, and hope that the legend is there to play a tune or two!

Amazing show. Best show in Nola Kermit and Irving put on an awesome 3 hour heart pounding show Tuesday.

I almost didn't want to write a review because I didn't want everyone to know about this spot. The venue is perfect. The inside does smell heavily like weed, but that doesn't bother me at all. The outside backyard/courtyard makes the place a 10/10. We came on a relatively slow night but the lady cooking pasta was amazing. Some of the best pasta I've ever eaten and I'm from New Orleans. If I still lived here, I'd be here weekly!

Six stars. Best Super Bowl party of my life. Great people who live by the house rules: "Be Nice" and "Love". Chef Kermit cooked up killer red beans and rice with every sort of pork fat known to man, and was kind enough to play especially for my fiancée and I as I bent my knee and asked the question. A wonderful happy, friendly, fun place. We will never forget our evening at the Mother in Law Lounge for many reasons, but more than anything it was the welcoming, friendly, atmosphere and the people who reflect Kermit's vibe.All abo

My wife turned me onto the Treme TV show (so I was binging this & Game of Thrones at the same time) so when we came to NOLA we had to come here. Amazing atmosphere. We sat about 4 feet from Kermit who is the best Alexa DJ evah, & just chilling. Very eclectic crowd, on a Saturday night; the best part for me was getting catfish (farm raised) cooked by a Black woman who knows when to change the grease. My wife had the BBQ wings which had the perfect amount of "burtness" on the skin. BBQ was not sweet but oh so tasty. 5-stars.

This bar/club was new to me but hubby insisted we check it out while our son was in town. He's a jazz musician based in Boston and had never experienced the Nola music scene. Wow! It literally was like the old school bar/small stage setup with a few chairs. We stood the whole set listening to Kermit and various friends play. Our son was blown away! He loved the vibe of all kinds of folks (young, old, hip, geeky) just dancing and chilling and loving the music. Food was on tables/foil pan sitch but we had other plans. Highly recommend!

We took my 86-year-old mom on a Monday evening and we all loved Kermit Ruffins and the BBQ Swingers. They were fabulous!We went again on Tuesday evening, but the music wasn't our thing that time.

If you haven't added this National Treasure to your New Orleans plans, you are sadly missing out! From the second Kermit and his band starts playing you're hoping the concert never ends! The courtyard is intimate and Kermit will greet everyone who visits. What a special night!
