We stopped by Katie's for an authentic New Orleans dining experience. It was very busy when we arrived, that we had to wait around 40 minutes to get seated. We had some drinks at the bar while we waited. The bartender was very moody and grumpy, but she did make a decent cocktail. I had a white sangria, my friend had a margarita. We were called to our table upstairs. The dining room was nothing special, it seemed to be more fun dining downstairs, but it's ok.For the appetizers we got the eggplant fries and the garlic feta fries. The eggplant fries weren't my favorite, a bit too dry for my taste. The garlic feta fries were so delicious, and super colorful. I could easily live off of them if I were to stop by Katie's again.Keep in mind this is all for the four of us to share.We first got the sausage gumbo, this was a bit too salty for me, but I could see myself enjoying it on a super cold winter day.The Shrimp Po- Boy was super tasty, with the generously sized, crunchy shrimp, this was another easy winner for me.We finally concluded with the Veggie Muffaletta. All of my favorite things were in here. It was super melty and delicious with, eggplant, mushroom, peppers, tomatoes, mozzarella & olive salad.This was the ultimate New Orleans feast. This was such delicious, authentic comfort food. If you're in the area, please stop by Katie's.

A pleasant, comfortable place. It is roomy and the staff is pleasant. There is just a positive mood and it is dimly lighted. It is reasonably priced and friendly. The catfish poboy was hot and fresh, and the fish was incredibly tender. Ordering another would be my plan if I wasn't full. I will most certainly return here.

Came here for lunch before Mardi Gras parade. I had reservation through Yelp, and they said their system did not see it so I had to give them my name and wait for a table. Food was good, except bread on sandwich tasted like Subway's bread.

Packed! Get there early or prepare to wait. Not sure if they take reservations but I was alone and found a bar seat. Take a look at their daily specials. I found this spot from DDD so had to check it out. Ordered everything Guy did. The Bordeaux pizza wasn't something I'd order again- quite dry but did appreciate the under-carriage with all the toppings. Bbq sauce on the side is really added to it. The crawfish beignet was flavorful, had a good heat but very very salty for my taste. Dense filling but needed more greens to balance. Great local spot to check out but wouldn't particularly order these just because Guy did....like me

I visited here for the first time on this past Tuesday for lunch. We were able to find nearby street parking. We were a larger group and so we were seated outside but we didn't have to wait very long for outside seating. The waitress did a great job and had positive energy. I ordered the chicken quesadilla with a side of cole slaw. It wasn't a fancy dish but I really enjoyed it. I would return to try other menu items.

My first time in New Orleans to celebrate my 18th birthday and came here for dinner. Not only was the food some of the most interesting and the best I have ever had, the customer service was absolutely better than anywhere I have ever been. My server Katie not only gave me a dessert, but lit a candle and had the entire restaurant sing to me. Then, she gave me a handmade glass bead necklace and wished me a great birthday. Wow. Nowhere in my life have I ever even heard of something like that. The ambiance of this restaurant is very warm and welcoming, with the nicest people surrounding you.
