Kappy's Daiquiri & Sports Grill

Great, friendly service in a very comfortable setting. Wide drink selection--the Fudge daiquiri is awesome.

We don't go to Kappy's a lot, but every time we do we tell ourselves, "we need to come in here more!". It is a little local bar with an array of frozen daiquiri machines. They have pool tables and darts and karaoke nights every week. Nothing fancy here, but we always enjoy ourselves. They have a decent selection of local brews on tap. The usual bottled beers are priced nicely. The frozen daiquiris are potent, reasonably priced, and they offer some original unique flavors.The greatest appeal for us is the food. Wow! The menu is long so we still haven't had a chance to try everything. They offer some creative and local items in addition to the usual "bar food" - burgers, sandwiches, wings, etc. Even on that stuff, the quality is first-rate. Try the Sea Dog or the Twisted Gator Fries or the wings. The fried mushrooms are not so great, but the fried green beans are very good. They scale back to a limited menu late at night so not everything is available all the time.The bartenders and staff are friendly. They do not have servers doing table service. Instead, you order at the bar and they bring your food out to you. It works just fine when they are quiet, but on a loud karaoke night you might wind up shouting your order across to the bartender. They are good with daiquiri questions and will give you a little taste of the frozen stuff to help you decide which flavor you want. Even on busy nights the food comes out quickly.Highly recommended. The food was good & service if not too crowded. The vibe & mood has been nice every time I been. And the karaoke is amazing, it's always a vibe. There's a few pool tables if you just want to chill and enjoy the setting.

I came in with the expectation that it is simply a bar. Nothing more. Nothing less. I didn't expect to have as much fun as I did. It was karaoke night with a costume party. And I had a bless. The daiquiris were decent, but the crowd was FABULOUS. The locals were everything. By the end of the night, I knew half of the people's first name. The food was typical fried food. The problem was that all the food is fried in the same grease, and since deep fried crab cakes and fried pork skins were on the menu, I passed on the food. When I come back, I'll probably eat before I come and simply have dessert. Yes, I will be back!

The boudin eggrolls were delicious. The barkeeps were very friendly as was the foodrunner.Near hotel lodging.Pool tables available.Sports to watch.Alot of frozen drinks available.Check em out.

This place is great! We ventured there since it was right in front of the hotel we were staying g at and walking a distance. At first we weren't really sure because it looked abandoned as we were walking from the back of the e building. Like everyone else they aren't fully staffed so you have to order you food from the bar where they have a huge selection of frozen daiquiris. Well... this pace did not disappoint!!! The wings were crazy delicious, the crab balls were scrumptious and the gator fries hit the spot! We got our food super fast and the staff is SOOOO FRIENDLY !!! Did I mention the Cajun Sting daiquiri?!? A must try! My only regret is that we we so full we could t try dessert!!! This little place don't look like much from the outside but boy oh boy is it a gem in food quality, quantity and service!!!!

It's our local place to go. Great service and menu! Owners are friendly! It's always clean and if you are looking for a great stop on your way in or out of the city? It's a great place for reasonable pregame drinks

Stopped here for a bite when leaving Nola, service was beyond amazing. Both chef and bartender were the nicest people ever. Very accommodating and even helped us schedule a swamp boat tour from his own cell. Oh and they had an entire wall of daiquiris mixing like slushies.

I passed through Kappy's and ordered a Cajun Sting to go. I drank maybe 1/4 of the daiquiri in 45-minutes. I couldn't stand the taste. I ended up throwing it away. Maybe it was a bad batch? Maybe it was me? I won't pass through Kappy's again.

It's a safe and fun place to hang out with family and friends. Great food and great Karaoke on the weekends.
