This place sucks. The bar staff was rude, they lied when I called to see if we could reserve a table. When we got there we sat but then were made to get up because it was RESERVED for someone more important. I was excited to see the Bucktown All-Stars, but The Kamp did not advertise the cover charge. I'm a River Ridge resident. I now discourage anyone from going to this obviously exclusive place. Never again. Thanx for ruining the evening.

I've attended our annual industry crawfish boil here for the past three years, and It's a great space for a large outdoor gathering. There's a large grassy outdoor space, a stage in that area, clean, well maintained restrooms, and a great indoor bar area for when the sun gets to be too much.I can't speak to the bar service, as I've only ever been here for this function where drinks are served outside and provided by the event hosts.

Kamp is a hidden gem located in Harahan. But I do get there off the Jefferson Transit E2 line and get off at Hickory and Airline. It's a short walk to Kamp but you must cross some railroad racks at grade and step carefully over the rails and listen for and watch for trains. This is a full bar. The staff is kind and friendly. Kamp hosts lots of events such as Wednesday Bike Night and concerts and so much more. Kamp is a good place to unwind and relax! You'll visit once and see why we say:"Spend a night at Kamp and you'll never be the same!"

The few times I've been to the Kamp, it has been in the Backyard for fundraising events, most recently when I bought some fish plates to support a local 10U traveling baseball team. They have a great soundstage in the backyard and often have bands playing there. So one Friday, I decided one time to go see what the bar was like without an event going on. It's was quiet for the Friday afternoon portion of Happy Hour, although the noise level picked up as the evening wore on. Basically they have what you would expect for a bar, 3 TVs, several video poker machines, and a jukebox. The bartender is friendly. They have a nice liquor collection, but for whatever reason, there is no draft beer, just bottles.

I love The Kamp!!!! Reasonable to moderate drink prices depending on what you order. Outdoor parking at Kamp. Not usually busy except for Wednesday Bike Night. Out in Harahan/River Ridge so it's NOT a tourist trap. A hidden gem- a great neighbourhood gathering spot. I don't mind crossing the railroad racks to get here. I take the JeT route E2 bound for MSY to get here and get off at David Drive and walk down Hickory and cross the racks then I am here. A nice quiet location. Stage outside for bands and events. 100% an amazing time!!!!!!"Spend a night at KAMP", you'll never be the same again!"

This place does look exactly like a camp and it seems to be quite a popular spot in the area. I've been around this place several times as it is right next to Hillbilly BBQ and across from the pistol range but not much ever seemed to be going on during those visits. I finally ended up here on a Wednesday for the very popular bike night and I'm not a biker so unfortunately I don't have lots of cool leather to wear thus arriving in my preppy work clothes made me stand out quite glaringly. They had a really good band jamming out and everybody seemed to be having a great time. They have a really awesome huge back patio area here that I had never seen before and that is quite an impressive space. The huge downsides to me for this joint are that it was extremely smokey, it was almost all dudes and they were out of Abita Amber at only 9pm. I would like to return when they have some events going on at the back patio where I can actually breathe.

The KAMP is my favourite place in Harahan/River Ridge to hang out, watch sports, and drink some alcohol. The staff and bartenders are amazing. It's located in a little nook and difficult to find but a real hidden gem. Well outside the touristy areas of New Orleans. Come once you'll be back for sure!!!! You'll love it at KAMP. Wednesday is bike night. Regular events happen!!!

I have frequented this place often for bike night but not sure if I will return.. Bartender gave my credit card to someone else. Yes, I understand people make mistakes but both bartenders didn't quite understand how that happened besides the fact that they assumed and didn't ask before running my card, closing out the tab and handing out my card to another woman. They said it was a regular customer and that she would come back since her card was still there. They were correct, she returned the next day and brought back my card, but the damage was already done.. I cancelled the card. I could get past the smokey bar, but I just can't get past giving my credit card to someone else. Makes me wonder how often this goes on!! If I ever return, cash only.. I've learned my lesson!!

We had used the Kamp for an Adult birthday party and used the outside courtyard, with a DJ and food...It was a very nice place to hold the event. You can set up a bar tab at the bar, and design it that everyone with a band can have free drinks (on you of course). It works great, there are three flat screen TV's for football, or whatever and the set up is clean and really nice and comfortable. We used the inside and outside, which people really enjoyed themselves.

Went to the Kamp to listen to Mothership. If you haven't heard them they are a Led Zeppelin tribute band. They were great and so was the venue. Nice place to hear a good band. They had all outside seating on picnic benches and a few solo chairs. I did see a few home chairs but I'm not sure what the official policy is with bring your own chairs. I would call ahead and verify you can bring your own chair in just to make sure. Bathrooms were clean and it looks like they serve some food but I didn't get more information on it. I'd be willing to go back to see another band play there.
