First of all, make reservations. This place stays booked up because the food and the service are fantastic! It's a hidden gem of Mississippi, no doubt. If you like crabs and you don't mind paying for high quality... this place is for you. My wife and I ordered the "love boat" for two. It was more than enough (took a box home). Also had the smoked tuna dip. I order that at seafood restaurants all the time. The Steamer's is as good as any I've ever eaten. We finished the meal with a piece of chocolate cake... chef's kiss. Oh... and they have food runners (people that aren't your server delivering the food). That tends to make a huge difference in the level of service. And you have a nice view of the water. It's not anything to write home about but it's pleasant. (But I'm here for the food, ya feel me?)Bring your wallet. Anytime you show up to a restaurant and the first thing they ask is "Are you celebrating a special occasion?" ... it's gonna be expensive. But if you eat crabs, you should already know this. My recommendation: go for the king crab.

Amazing food, awesome service. We have gone to the Jourdan River Steamer twice and both times it was an amazing dining experience. The view is great as is the interior. We would much rather go here for our seafood than go to the casinos. The food is fresh tasting and hasn't been setting out for hours and had people putting their hands all over the food. The crème brûlée is also off the cuff and you have to get it early as they only make a set amount each day. The cost for two is about the same.

Wow, what a fantastic treat for our first visit. Our server Shannon was very knowledgeable about all of the menu items & carefully explained each dish to us, along with the specials. The steak we ordered came out cooked to perfection & seasoned well. (sad that it was so good I only got a picture of our appetizer).As for the seafood, one word "mouthwatering". We couldn't have asked for a better anniversary dinner, thank you to the entire steam team & shannon for a wonderful trip. Can't wait to visit again!

My favorite restaurant on the gulf coast:-) They never fail to provide excellent service and don't even get me started on the food. Anytime I visit my hometown I always visit this spot and I'm never disappointed! Highly recommend

A friend recommended this spot to me back in 2020. I was finally able to visit. NO REGRETS!This was a phenomenal experience from start to finish. The building is spacious and beautiful. Right along the River, it boasts amazing views. Making a reservation was so simple! They use the resy app and it's a cinch to get a time that suits your needs. The building was lovely. They had an area with cornhole and other games for a time when you might have to wait on a table. It looked really fun.The restaurant has a giant tank of lobsters and on the night we visited, they had a lobster close to 5lbs for sale!That being said, I came for the crab legs and shrimp. But before I even got there, they had a delightful app special featuring ahi tuna and seaweed salad. It was divine. I forget the name of the platter I ordered but it was great! It featured snow crabs, Royal reds and Dungeness.I LOVED IT. Everything was so good and I ate every scrap of it! My significant other got the filet and he loved it. Our server was fantastic. His name was Jay and he brought us two bones for us to take home to our dogs. He was able to make fantastic and helpful recommendations. I am so glad he was our server because he made us feel so appreciated and cared for. The drinks were also fine. I had a cucumber gin fizz and they overdid it a little on the pepper. I think had a Sauvignon blanc and it was a small but good pour but the drink of the night was the conundrum red blend. It was excellent and fairly priced.If you have a chance to visit this restaurant, do not pass it up!

Wonderful food! Started off with an old fashioned. Wonderful flavor, perfectly balanced. We both enjoyed the red snapper special. Generous portions and cooked perfectly. The wine paired well with the meal. Finished it off with a crème brûlée that was crispy on top and creamy inside! Yum! We will be back!

This was above expectations! The server was fabulous. His recommendation was spot on! We made a reservation to celebrate a birthday. The food was incredible No one walked away hungry or disappointed. I would highly recommend having a relaxing meal at this location.
