When in New Orleans, walking around the French Quarter with my boyfriend, we stopped into many of the the different shops around, Jesters being one of them. My boyfriend ended up buying a cool New Orleans shirt there (which later shrunk even though staff promised it wouldn't...this was a big disappointment). I bought a neat and original roofing plaque with a picture of the French Quarter on it. Very cool! Jesters had all sorts of cool gifts for sale, including Mardi Gras masks and decor as well. One thing I noticed though was that they had a lot of the same items for sale as other stores closeby, which was odd to see. Overall, pretty average gift shop.

There are souvenirs on every freakin street corner. Talk about loud and shiny. We were looking for masks and t-shirts. Yep...total tourist stuff to take home. Jesters really did have the best selection of all the other places we visited. The folks were nice. They had something for about everyone and the prices were a little better than most other places. We bought most of our stuff here.FYI...this is where we were when the news broke that Micheal Jackson had died. It was kinda weird. Someone overheard me telling my daugher and the next thing you know they store turned on the television and we were all talking to each other about it.And then we bought about three masks and walked back to the hotel in the rain. I dunno....it was kinda weird but kinda nice that everyone was so friendly.

I found some great deals at the back of the store, t-shirts on sale for half price. Very good quality and the only reason they were on sale is that the t-shirt said "road trip New Orleans 2009" and it was 2010 already. Lots of cool stuff here. There is a lot of souvenir places along Decatur but this place is really cool and I recommend it. I also bought some stuff for the wife and step-daughter that was cool and reasonably priced.

Nice touristy shop. Went in to browse and found some nice things to take home to my parents from our vacation. One of the nicer shops on the strip, much less clutter than most of the touristy shops have.

Store has very cute things, but staff was very rude to me. I was looking around, seriously considering buying a shirt and went up to ask where the nearest restroom was after mentioning to my friend that I needed to use the bathroom. I simply walked up the counter, and without giving me a chance to say anything, she folded her arms and said "absolutely not." I then proceeded unsavory voice. I then left the store, and she walked out from behind the counter and pushed my friend out of the way. I am appalled at the lack of manners used in this place of business. I will not support it in any way.

after searching high and low for the perfect magnet (and we were shockingly disappointed in our finds at most spots), we happened upon Jester's- and voila! it was impossible to choose just one (i took home 2). Jester's easily has the best selection of souvenirs in the French Quarter...and to make it even better-the cashier (john) was extremely personal and friendly-making conversation with everyone who came in, and asking where various people were from...etc. fantastic!

This was definitely my favorite spot for souvenirs! I visited a number of other shops before I came upon Jesters and once I found Jesters, I knew it was meant to be. They have amazing gifts at great prices and the man working was fun to chat with.

I was getting tired of the same stuff at all the souvenir stores, but then the French Quarter is a tourist area! I stopped into Jester's because it seemed to have a better selection with more unique gifts. I also found one of those voodoo dolls at a much better price than the other stores. The store is nicely laid out and I didn't feel like I had to hunt through aisles of junk to find unique stuff.Doesn't hurt that the guy working there had a great sense of humor.

This gift shop has wonderful quality tee shirts that you will not see on every other corner. I returned home to WI and two of my 3 shirts were to small. It was effortless to make an exchange dealing with Steve via email and texting. I would highly recommend stopping if you are in the area!
