This hall has been around for exactly 40 yrs now and specializes in weddings and wedding receptions. The Jefferson Orleans North takes care of all of your wedding needs as it is fully catered from the DJ to the wedding cake to the food and alcohol. If you are planning a wedding they can accomodate groups from 100-400ppl. Meetings, banquets, Sweet 16's, and proms are all regularly booked here as well. They also hold twice weekly big band era dances from the 40's. It is a sight to see people still doing the waltz, the argentine tango, the quickstep, the rumba, and the like to music from the big band era.Don't hesitate to check them out. They have been around for 40 yrs for good reason.

We had our reception at Jeff Orleans North in April, 2019. We were extremely pleased with the quantity and quality of the food. The cost was more affordable than any other venue I checked. The Barbaro family was easy to work with and I would definitely choose JO North again. The white tablecloths and chair covers as well as the stairway and balcony made it an excellent choice for our short ceremony y and 3 hour reception. J & BBrossette.

I went to a wedding and reception here. The place was perfect for the occasion. I highly recommend this place for such events. It seems like this place has been here for a long time, but they seem to keep the place up to snuff. Thanks going out to the Owners.

Alright. I'm ready to let you all in on an awesome secret. This place is one of the hidden gems in the New Orleans area.Yes, The Jefferson Orleans North is a reception hall. Yes, you can have a Sweet 16 or a wedding here. But there's something else. Something I just discovered myself. On Sunday nights, from 7-10, The Jefferson Orleans North hosts The Pat Barberot Orchestra, which is a real big band. Not only that, but you can actually dance. Like...real dancing. Like the type of dancing that they did in the 40's and 50's where you actually hold someone close and move around the dance floor.I understand that the Jefferson Orleans has been holding these weekly dances since the 70's. My grandmother used to come here in the 80's. Also, and I just have to be honest, most of the people who actually go to dance are in their 70's, 80's and even 90's. And they are the most delightful people in the world and quickly make you realize that you are never too old for a spin around the dance floor. So, why do I like it here? Because when you are on the huge dance floor and listening to a real big band, you are transported to a different time. You're transported to a time when life was a bit simpler and the music was really good.Maybe you are thinking, "Well, that sounds good and all, but I don't know how to dance." Okay, well neither do I. I know the basic box step and a few small swing steps and that's about it. I'm not going to be winning any dancing contests any time soon. But I still have so much fun and all of the people who actually do know how to dance are always encouraging. The dancers at the Jefferson Orleans are so excited when younger people come in and I promised them that I would do my best to bring in new faces. So, that's where you come in. Put on your best dress or suit (yes, it's that type of vibe) and join us on a Sunday night at 6:30. If you want, feel free to shoot me a message and I will let you know when I will be there, so that you will see a familiar face. I guarantee that you will have a good time.

I went to see a band here, the Fleurtations, they were incredible, friends on Facebook said that they were a good band so I decided to check them out. They started at 7 p.m., by 7:14 p.m. the bar was already out of bottled beer, and their draft beer was skunked. They didn't have any more bottled water by 8 p.m. and the only drink I ordered was terrible. At least the music was incredible, but I won't see them there again, if I can't have a drink why would I want to go see a band, no matter how good they are. This place was terrible, run down and dirty, just terrible.
