Sooo, this place is phenomenal to host any tasteful event. It's spacious with lots of separate areas to mingle and have private conversations. I like the beverage area and the entire atmosphere gives off a semi-elegant vibe. I met with Sasha and she was very friendly and helpful. The location isn't bad, it appears quiet with easy access to parking. Our quoted costs associated with the rental fees was quite high considering the type of food available. You also cannot bring any outside food into the building for your event as it's catered only through the establishment. That's not a problem but the food is quite limited and not enough options to choose from with the first two-three plans. Those are just finger foods. They provide the tables, table coverings, chairs, setup and tear down for $7,000, so I guess that's a great price for all they're doing. The fee includes taxes $400, gratuity $712, credit card fee $125. So, a $5,660 rental fee with catering ended up being close to $7,000. So, essentially, our quote equates to $700 per hour for an event of 120 ppl for 10 hours. It's a nice place but the costs just depends on your budget.

I was here for a private event so while the auditorium was closed to the public, it was open for the event, which was a book signing. The auditorium was perfect for this event. There were about 14 authors and they each had a table and two chairs stationed along the perimeter of the room. There was a section near the front of the room for several rows of chairs, and a space near the back for food and drinks. I really enjoyed the venue. It was wide open and spacious. The stage was wide enough to hold all of the authors sitting in one straight row during the forum, which was a feat! The bathrooms were tastefully decorated with both air dryers and paper towels. I parked on the side of the building so I don't know about the parking except that I saw a sign for a dedicated parking lot in the back of the building. It was a very nice venue.

My grandmother's repast was there this past Friday. Toward the end of the gathering my son, and two other children in the family were entertaining themselves and playing tag while all the adults said their goodbyes. The children were running around and laughing while playing and I can easily understand how annoying that may have been to waitstaff. However, the comment made by one of the workers was beyond disgusting, ghetto, and unprofessional. He appeared to be in his 40's and in regards to my son told my sister verbatim "he better be careful because I'll tase his ass and lay that lil nigga out". My son is ten. And to make it worse, prior to this incident I had just expressed gratitude to the waitstaff for accommodating my family on what was already a very hard day seeing as we had just put my grandmother in a mausoleum. I will NEVER support this poor excuse of a business.
