This place was amazing!!All the workers were the nicest, and my group's tour guide was amazing as well. They were very willing to answer our questions and to offer to take photos of us as well. This was an incredible experience with great and interactive art work which you can't get anywhere else. It is very New Orleans. It is so unique and fun. Each exhibit was well thought out and had so many details.

Stopped in with my husband. Wanted to check out the museum. Various artists from old school to new school. The actual artwork itself was made of recyclable materials. Very impressive. The staff is friendly and helpful when you have questions. Gift shop is at the end of the museum. Local artists music is also played throughout the museum. Great forPictures.

This was so much fun! What a great place. Not only are there ridiculous amounts of photo ops; there is a great history to learn about and a culture to appreciate. I'm very glad we decided to do this.

I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS HIGHLY OR FAST ENOUGH. This experience is truly magical-it is a feast for the eyes, and it is made by local artists celebrating New Orleans music, art and culture. The only reason my photos here are so few is because it is something you need to see for yourself. I left absolutely charmed.

Jamnola is great!!!!! It truly is a love letter to New Orleans, artist have taken recycled goods and made them into immersive art. The one thing, I will say, you will have to drive or get an Uber because it is kinda of out of the main hustle and bustle. The colors are beautiful and vibrant and they have QR codes you can scan to give you full detail of the piece and the artist who made it. There is parking near by for those who drive!! I highly recommend going to see this during your visit!! Staff is great as well!!

Booked this experience on a whim and so glad we did! You need a reservation time and you have to book it online (if you walk in, you'll need to book your reservations on your phone right there in front of them). But, it's super quick and easy and is definitely worth the price. The tour starts guided for the first 3 rooms (and our guide was seriously so friendly and informative) then they release you to wander at your own pace through the rest of the rooms. Every room is themed and has some truly remarkable art. Every inch of this place is photogenic and, because they limit the number of tickets sold in each time block, you won't have to worry about a bunch of strangers in the background of all your pics. If you're looking for something memorable, quick, and representative of the New Orleans art scene, don't skip Jamnola!

The advertisement for Jamnola happened to come on my IG feed on my recent trip to NOLA. I was intrigued so I purchased a ticket for a Sunday afternoon. The museum is self guided and interactive. They allow an hour for each appointment. This is a great place for content creators. However, it can be frustrating for people who visit that want to generally look and read about the art by scanning the QR codes. People spent a lot of time taking personal pictures. I found myself having to go around them. My group also ran into the group before us so it became quite crowded. In any event, I saw some great art and learned a bit more about New Orleans culture. The museum was $36 (total) for an adult. For that price, I would have preferred a guided tour with an allotted time for pictures. The current location is close to Studio Be, which is a great art gallery. I would combine the two if planning a visit.

This is a really unique place. Our tour guide Savannah was knowledgeable, helpful, and fun. Some of the rooms are really over the top (particularly the glitzy bayou, crawfish, and music rooms). Some rooms a little less impressive but fine. Price a little high for how small it is - we were in and out in 50 minutes- but we like supporting artists and would overall recommend. Nice educational video in the beginning about Mardi Gras Indian Chiefs.

Worth the price for the art, picture opps and history. The first three rooms you start off with a guide, short movie and explanation of Mardi Gras history, the native American tribal wear that inspired Mardi Gras suits, and the Mardi Gras Indians. Shortly after you can go at your own pace and take photos, read the information, etc. The Mardi Gras Indians named themselves after native Indians to pay them respect for their assistance in escaping the tyranny of slavery. It was often local Indians who accepted slaves into their society when they made a break for freedom, and taught them how to survive in the wilderness. There are dozens of Mardi Gras Indian "tribes". This is distinctly African American and some say it's an appropriation of another culture, however, it's pure respect."Before masking, or donning eye-catching custom suits and gathering in the streets, one must learn songs and their meaning, lingo, signals, and--above all--how to embody the Mardi Gras Indian spirit." - Smithsonian. I found this short tour and exhibit to be so interesting mixed with some fun for all ages.At the end of the tour, you receive a Jamnola cup with a QR code that you can use for discounts throughout the city. Not far from Frenchman Street and about 3/4th a mile down Royal from the French Quarter.
