Jalapeno's Mexican Restaurant

My family and I have dined at Jalepenos for over ten years. This family owned and run restaurant delivers delicious Mexican cuisine with ample portions and warm & friendly service. Friday nights are always fun with live music! A few of our favorite items include Maria's Dip, Taco Tuesday specials and the massive Molcajete! If you're near St. Francisville or Clinton, make the quick drive to the town of Jackson to visit Jalepenos.

Worth the drive! Chimichangas are filled full of meat, rice and beans on the side enough for two meals. Service was great. Quaint restaurant. Limited parking.

Every thing here is amazing. I get food here every week. Definitely a Geaux too when you want authentic food

Love the food! Papi's potato, fajitas, nachos, Molcajete...awesome! Bacon cheeseburger...Always great. Friendly atmosphere

We stopped by for dinner recently. They are now seating indoors during the COVID-19 mess. It appears to be a family run business, and they were very happy to see us. They also appear to do a brisk take-out service.The food is always good and plentiful, and the prices insanely reasonable. Be sure to check them out if you are in the area!

Very good and very local ! Tasty Mexican food that was hot and fresh and close to home. My favorite was the spinach Queso that had lots of fresh baby spinach though I would have enjoyed some heat throughout the dishes I had. The spinach Queso also came with fresh tortilla chips that could have also like most of the dishes used a hint of salt and fresh red salsa. I also ordered the Shrimp a la Mexican which was sautéed large shrimp with onions, tomatoes and jalapeño peppers along with nice creamy refried beans and moist if lacking a little flavor Spanish rice. The food gets 3 stars and being close to home gets it to 4.

This is a fabulous Mexican restaurant with quality food, large portions, and fast/easy pickup. We don't have much to choose from out here, but this restaurant is on par with anything in Baton Rouge. I love their chips and salsa also!

This place have always been on point with their food. Always fresh and flavorful! I think I'll have a grilled chicken baked potato today!

We've been going on day trips for the last few days and today, we wound up in Jackson, LA. This was the only restaurant we found that was open. They have a Mexican Buffet, I assume on Sundays because that's when we were here and that's what they had, from 11:00-2:00. We opted for the lunch menu, which was on the back of the regular menu. I had the Pineapple Fajitas with steak, which is the regular fixings in a carved out pineapple half and cooked to perfection. It also has chunks of pineapple, which I love, so it would have been hard to mess up. My wife had the Chicken Fajitas which were good as well. This is another little gem we found on our galavanting. The service was awesome, everyone was very nice and friendly. The restaurant is in a historical building, circa 1832. In the middle of the dining room we were in there is an open, circular fireplace which puts off ample heat.

Good food -- Great service -- nice decor. When they re-open I believe it to be even better. Less "IRON" and more friendly ambience...
