They accused us of setting off a firework for NYE even though we didn't and harassed us as we walked out. They cornered us as we were leaving and didn't believe us when we said it wasn't us. 0/10. Hope they check the cameras and realize their mistake. Will NEVER come back.

Before you go, you need to be in the mindset that this is not exactly a dive bar but more of a low key bar. There are a lot of regulars, and if you are one you can appreciate that. Dogs are allowed and they have a great outdoor patio with water bowls for them. They also have an outdoor bar when it gets busy and sometimes they serve crawfish out there as well. During the week they have food and drink specials too. I've always experienced great customer service from the bartenders and I'd recommend checking them out if you're in the area.

Be prepared to pay a 4% credit card fee on all non-cash transactions. Good crowd. Loud music. Large outdoor patio scene and bar.

Awful isn't even enough to describe the staff here. You have to pretty much beg to even get waited on and once you do get their attention , they have the worst attitude. Not to mention I witnessed a woman who was drinking and rather intoxicated, yet who claims to be the GM, scream repeatedly at a customer who was sitting taking selfies with her friends. I also witnessed this same alleged (and tipsy) GM and other staff members openly make fun of this customer's appearance after she left. Very sad that a place of business would act as a bully. Won't be returning and told my friends about this so they won't be visiting this establishment.

This place is an absolute national treasure!!!! Great times and great people frequent this place. Wings are solid on the menu and the beer is always cold. No matter where you start you will have to wind up passing through or ending up at Ivars!!

Ivar's Sports Bar truly lives up to its name. It is a great place to catch game and dine on some truly tasty 'pub grub'. Every time I have eaten at Ivar's I have enjoyed the food and the delivery is usually pretty swift. While in season, you may even find boiled crawfish available at a pretty good price. There are daily drink specials (even on weekends!) and have an absolutely delicious Frozen Irish Coffee that is crave worthy.

I've been coming here for years, and yes, I have always had the same impression of this place. It's a fan favorite, a nostalgic location for so many in Baton Rouge. Big names still make this their watering hole. Parking isn't great here. Who knows how it will change when they expand the interstate. But just be ready, parking is either in select parking spots or in a gravel, pot-hole filled, rocky lot under the interstate. (for now)The draft been is WAY over priced. Lackluster beer should not cost me over $5, and "premier" beer shouldn't be $8 for a draft. My most recent trip was on an average Saturday. It took around 10 minutes for me to get a beer. The one person working was way overwhelmed and seemed to purposely not look my way when it calmed down. Then my table ordered food. My friend's burger was way overcooked, but I'm pretty sure it was a Sam's bulk burger she just had to heat on a grill. Some friends got the loaded tots that ended up just being shredded pieces of potato with lots of little extras. I'm just saying that while I enjoy the experience of this local spot, it's just nothing to write home about.

Pretty cool hang out for wings and $5 large beers. I went with a party of 8 after dinner just to hang out. We sat outdoors next to the big screen tv. It's a trendy place that's busy for a Wednesday night. The crowd is more mellow outdoors but inside is more crowded and the music is louder. Either spot is just right to hang out with friends and grab a quick bite or cheap beers.

When it comes to the local boozey scenes, Ivar's is a must in BR. Located near a bank of other similar spots, this establishment is a little piece of old school offering up reasonably priced drinks and a fun scene during the day and night.Whenever I find myself out and about in Baton Rouge, I continually end up underneath the overpass gettin' my drink on. The beers are solid here and they sure can put together a hell of a dirty martini. Cocktails seem to take a little longer when they're slammed so I always opt for the bottled beer. Those who don't mind the wait can find some assurance on the bartenders who are easy on the eyes.It is noticeably divey, and its almost always uber dark. I will caution against anyone looking to use the men's restroom and parking can be an issue on the weekends. The pool table is almost always occupied and while the crowd varies, I've succombed to thinking this is mainly a college age type bar.I've yet to try the food. I hear they can throwdown with a decent po'boy and burger, which means I need to make it here before 10pm instead of after.
