We stayed here during our visit to New Orleans because it was conveniently located in the French Quarter near Bourbon Street. Paul checked us in and it was a quick and smooth process before we were given our keys. Our room was on the second floor at the end of the hall. There was a TV in the room, a coffee machine, and basically everything you'd need in a hotel room. If there's something that you need you can go to the lobby at any time to request it. The only issue was that one of the drawers in the room would not close and would open on its own. It's nice that you can leave your bags with them after you check out while you explore during the day. That's what we did before we left for the airport later in the day.The best word we could use to describe this place is "quaint". Overall this was a very nice and centrally-located hotel and we enjoyed our stay here.

Stayed here back in August and it was a great stay . It's located super close to the French quarter. Our room was comfy and quiet and the ice machine came in very handy as there were no fridges in the room. The staff were all helpful and friendly. They were even nice enough to hold our luggage after check out before heading back to the airport . The hot tub was not available during that time but with all the humidity during that time we didn't need it . Would stay here again .

Okay- I feel like I'm speaking to a specific demographic here---the one that has stayed in NOLA (or another very old city) before. The one that wants to be part of the culture and the middle of everything. The one that spends more time out of the room than in it. The one that is willing to sacrifice some high-end perks for all of the above. So if that's you, keep reading. If not, keep looking for other accommodations. We were in room 22- first floor, off the courtyard. Yes, there was a musty smell in the room-- it's only 7,000 years old or whatever. Yes, we could hear the neighbors when they were in the courtyard. You're in the French Quarter...it could be much worse. Now for everything else-- The bed & pillows (all 6 of them!) were super comfy. - The bathroom was roomy. Standing shower only, but plenty big. - There's a safe for valuables and room to hang clothes, as well as a full dresser. - The room was small, but not cramped. - Location was excellent. If you're going anywhere in the French Quarter, you can easily walk. - Parking is available and about an 8-10 minute walk. This was no issue for us, but just an FYI if you can't find street parking. Now for why I'm only giving 3 stars:- It could have been cleaned much better (the slats in the bathroom door were caked with dust)- Speaking of bathroom doors, who the hell wants slats in the bathroom door? Hope you're in the "I still love you after hearing you take a shit" phase of your relationship. - They could afford to do some touch ups. Shoddy spackling jobs, chipped paint, etc. - We paid $450 per night for this place. Yes, we were there for the national championship game so every place spiked prices, but I would have gone up $50 more per night to get something higher quality. Hopefully they will use some of the $1500 we paid for 3 nights to make some of those necessary touch-ups. - our TV remote wouldn't do anything but turn the TV on and adjust the volume. BUT- we did not report this to the front desk...we weren't in the room much. In summary- if you want to be in the heart of it and come home to pass out in a comfy bed...this should totally suffice.

Starting with a couple of positive points, the property is in an excellent location and staff are friendly enough. Now with the negative... was given a room that management already knew the shower didn't work. We are not talking about the low water pressure normal for these older hotels, this was literally a drip. Unfortunately did not realize that until the next morning - and anyone who has ever been on Bourbon knows how critical a shower is at that point. After a few discussions with the front desk was told could switch rooms after someone checked out. Later that day switched rooms only to find out that night that a family of mice already lived there. And if you are looking at the pictures and website for this property, it does not have hair dryer or Keurig as "Standard In-Room Amenities" (or at least not in any of the rooms our group had); nor does the property have a "Heated Jacuzzi in Courtyard" - no problem on the jacuzzi part because we wouldn't have used it anyway, but wife not packing a hair dryer since one was supposed to be in room... that's a problem

If there was a way to give a zero star review I would. Long story short we booked here from the pictures and location. We were so excited to see Nola. When we arrived the area was less than inviting. We checking in and hoped for the best. Room was disgusting, smelly and hot. It was so small we could barely move around each outlet without bumping into one another. We tried to make the best of it out out stuff down and went for a walk. When trying to get down the stair we noticed they were extremely steep and broken. My foot got caught trying to walk down them it was that bad!! We came back to the room and I realized there was a little door with a loose ihook latch. I thought it was a closet previously, but when I opened it I realized it led to what seems like a boiler room. As I did more investigating this in locked door lead to outside and the door outside had absolutely no lock on it. Judging from the amount of homeless strangers lurking around this hotel and the state of the hotel we decided this was a safety concern and a couple hours in decided to leave. We checked out and explained why. They guy at the front desk seemed aggravated and told me I would have to request a refund from the 3rd party I booked with. I said no problem. We booked at another hotel on canal street (highly recommend) and when I called third party the guy at the front desk lied to them saying he told us he was denying a refund and a whole bunch of things that were never even said at all. Anyways this place was a disaster and do yourself a favor book at an actual hotel where you will be safe. Regardless of losing money after being deceived by this inn, we got engaged this weekend in Nola!!! No thanks to the inn that almost ruined EVERYTHING!!!!!!! Beware. I wish I was able to post the videos I took of where the door lead and how one push/wiggle unlatched the ihook. Guess you'll just have to take my word for it.

I was told there was a hot tub on site and there wasn't one. The court yard was overgrown and we were in a basement. The door opening was so low we had to duck down. The check out front desk attendant was so rude. I live in New Orleans and thought this would be a treat and it was a nightmare.

There are rats. Arrived after dark, the area is not well lit. The court yard has rats. The room was run down, but it didn't look too dirty. We left, and lost our money.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this inn last month. Check-in was a nightmare. We were greeted by a drunk employee named Lorelei. She was in a daze, slurring her words, kept repeating herself, and said some things that didn't make sense, which I initially shrugged off because I figured that she'd take us to our room and that would be that.....After she took us to our room on the second floor, we realized that it had no AC or heat as the thermostat was ripped out of the wall. It looked like someone had been working on it and didn't finish the job. We were concerned so we went back to the office to ask her to check if there was another room available at this property and there was one on the first floor, which also didn't have working heat or AC. I was stumped on what to do and was trying to decide on which room to take, and Lorelei made some snide remarks about how women need to learn to make up their minds, that I am wasting her time, she doesn't want to be here all night, on and on, etc. So many unnecessary rude comments. I had to start tuning her out before I started crying. God forbid we wanted a room with heat and AC! Mind you, this all transpired in about half an hour from when we arrived to when I was forced to decide between rooms, so it's not like I was taking forever. She also went on about how I better not have messed up anything in either room because she wouldn't want to make more work for housekeeping. All we did was stand in each room and set our bags on the floor. We quickly decided to go with the room on the second floor as I didn't want to deal with her ranting anymore and just wanted some peace and quiet after our five-hour drive. We learned the next day that the room did have working heat and AC thankfully. Even though the thermostat was ripped out of the wall, there was a remote that could still turn the unit on or off. Somehow she didn't know this even though she worked there? We also saw her a couple of nights later when walking back to the inn, and she was noticeably drunk again. I get that this is NOLA, but this is the first time in many trips to the city that I have seen an employee this wasted, not once but twice.About the room itself, it is definitely rough around the edges, but to be expected for an old building. It is tiny though and the shower is EXTREMELY tiny. I barely had room in it to stand. If you are claustrophobic, beware! It also had a continuous drip that got the floor soaking wet even when we shut the curtain. Out of the four plugs total on the three lamps, only one worked. The toilet moved a lot any time that we sat on it. The ice machine was broken, and there were construction workers doing some work on the patio very close to our room by 9 a.m. at least two of the mornings that we were there. This is not the city for early morning construction considering most of the things to do in NOLA are at night. The room could have also used a good cleaning, but the bed itself was clean and comfortable. I like that there is a window in the room as the natural light made it easier to apply my makeup. The location was great, and it felt pretty safe and secure. I personally wouldn't stay here again because of the size of the room and so I wouldn't have to deal with Lorelei again. On the other hand, another employee, Paul, is wonderful. He is so kind, welcoming, and helpful and brought up some toiletries to our room within minutes of us asking for them. He was always friendly and talkative any time that we saw him, and he made our stay bearable. He deserves a raise and Lorelei should be fired.

Nestled in the quiet part of the French quarter. Short walk to the cafe du monde and bourbon street. It's a old authentic inn, nothing fancy or modern. They skipped the daily cleaning, maybe due to covid (?), the bathroom is not perfect (a little dirty and unkept) HOWEVER, I am giving it a five stars because the staff made my stay memorable. I loved talking to Chelsea and the other staff members. They were eager to assist with anything. They called our taxi to the airport when it was time for us to leave and the taxi van came exactly at 11:00 am. I understand that they must have gone through challenges with staffing and up keeping the property but kindness goes a long way. So thank you for welcoming us with a smile and offering us assistance.
