Do not patronize this store. After my wife had a flat and pulled on to their lot, the employees gave my wife (and me an hour later) their word that our car could stay on the lot for 6 hours until I could get off of work at 3:00 and get her tire repaired. I was told it had to be gone by morning and I assured them I'd have it off of the lot today by 5:00.I arrived at 4:15 and they had had the car towed. $220.These are not honest people.1 star only because I couldn't leave 0.

Here's the thing about "Ideal Discount 4," if you're going for gas, it's kind of a sketchy little place. The workers there are super friendly, and if you felt like you needed assistance, I'm sure they would give it to you. There is usually a person or two hanging outside; sometimes asking for cash, sometimes just giving you some side-eye. It doesn't always feel like the safest of locations, and yet, it's never once stopped me from going there, and I've never had an issue.I rarely go there for gas, however, I go there for the fried chicken and meat pies. This is New Orleans, after all, and our gas stations often carry better food than the average restaurant elsewhere, so why wouldn't you try it? My favorite is to pick up food before a Saints game to take to friends and enjoy all afternoon. The seasoning on the chicken is amazing, it's generally pretty fresh, and if you're a strips person and want some dipping sauce, they've got you covered for that, too.Even after Hurricane Ida, last year, they worked hard to get things straightened up enough and cleaned out quickly to keep the neighborhood fed and on its feet. Love that can-do attitude!

This convenience store/gas station is a decent spot to grab some quick gas station style food like fried chicken and other items that are mostly fried or otherwise battered up in some method. They sell adult beverages as well so you can put together a little party of your own here to walk over to the nearby Bayou St. John and have a little picnic party. This is also the area of Bayou St. John that hosts the Bayou Boogaloo fest and this spot is also near Parkway Bakery of po boy fame. The customers here (or sometimes not customers but randos that just hang outside the store) can be on the sketchy side at times so I would just always exercise your appropriate average NOLA area caution when entering or leaving this joint. Overall this establishment has some decent provisioning capacity to meet your food, beverage and fuel needs with about an average NOLA gas station level of sketchy.

Not my first choice for gas, but my gas light was on and I found myself here. This isn't a bad neighborhood station, but it's a little scary if you're here by yourself (especially if you're a woman pumping gas alone). Lots of folks will want to engage in small talk and the parking lot gets packed with lurkers. Pumps are slow to...well...pump, so you're going to be stuck standing there forever as people lurk around and look you over wondering who you are and if you live "around here".Keep your head on a swivel, and you'll be fine.

I posted a photo of icky restroom and almost gave them a 1 star. But the owners and staff saved me. My rental car gas top was messed up & the gas went everywhere. Action movies have led me to believe in only moments something would explode. The staff calmly came out cleaned the area and my car. Gave us advice and even waited while we drove around block to make sure everything was safe.Gas was cheap and all locals were smiling & friendly. Across the street a beautiful art tree can be seen on the walking path. It's not best gas station but I would go back in a second. If the restroom was cleaner they would have gotten 5 stars.

Okay, just FYI, they apparently aren't selling booze at the moment. Not sure why, but there's a sign on the door and a giant white sheet of paper covering the beer coolers that helpfully says "No Beer" on it. I'm guessing it's an expired permit or something? Also, in case you were wondering, they DO sell batteries. So the next time you're looking for batteries at 2 a.m. for your wiimote or whatever, this place has got you covered.

******A lot of The pictures shown in this businesses page are actually not even of this business. Just FYI of anyone going there specifically for Latin food******Gas is cheap but the pumps don't stop always automatically. First time I went here gas came spewing out everywhere. Got on my clothes and all over the car and ground. Told the guy at the counter and he said "yeah it is kind of broken" ok guy, so you know that it does this, but you don't even feel the need to put a notice on the pump that it doesn't stop automatically? I wasted (and had to pay for) a solid gallon of gas, and had to find somewhere to change clothes because of the strong gasoline smell emitting from the ones that got squirted on. But the gas is the cheapest in the city outside of maybe Costco so that's cool I guess?

The closest gas station to my house that I sometimes have to just about push my car to cause I've been past E two gallons ago.I'm not a fan of this station at night. And not a super fan early in the morning. The staff is definitely nice enough. One of them made me promise if I won the Lottery, I'd have to share. It's not them, it's just been sketchy-ish.Though this rating is not the best, I will go back if I'm hurting to win the Powerball. #noshameinmylottogame

I never get gas here, but it's a nice convenience store. They have great chicken and a good selection of beer.I'm honestly such a trashy gas station slut opposum so I'm a little biased on what kind of garbage I love. If you like ~nice~ places that are ~hygienic~ this probably isn't the place for you. But if you're a raccoon from hell welcome to your new home.
