Hype Eatz

Don't walk, run to try this place. Genuinely, pleasantly surprised by my meal here. We landed at St. Roch Market by happenstance like most happy accidents. I saw a couple eating something that looked so good it peaked my interest so I asked them what it was. It was some sort of taco, with Mac&cheese, and chicken. The couple highly recommended it, but when I saw the menu I got excited to see oxtail. (Being the good Latina I am, I had to try it.) Thank goodness I did!! It came with two sides, and was a huge dish. I also didn't expect the oxtail to be in like a little yummy bun that you had to pull apart. It was cheesy and flavorful. The sauce Chef B serves it with, just ties it all together. This place is a must try.

I came here and tried the honey fried chicken, the macaroni and cheese, and the plantains and was NOT disappointed. They were all absolutely delicious! My best friend had the red fish tacos and she couldn't put them down as they were so well-seasoned. On top of the incredible food, the owner was very kind and attentive and provided excellent service! This will definitely be the first place I come to eat when I'm back in town!

Red fish curry was out of control. Was visiting Nola in April '22 and stumbled across St. Roch market with a big group of friends. Perfect place for groups - they have a multitude of different cuisines to choose from. I was lucky enough to stumble across Hype Eatz and chef Brandon's menu caught my attention. I was absolutely blown away by the meal and am excited to come back to try more of his dishes. Thank you for the amazing food & hospitality!
