Howl O Weenie

This is the annual dog Halloween costume contest and parade put on by the Metairie Humane Shelter. It was held in the parking lot of Zephyr Stadium.I came here one Saturday afternoon after our Yelp Picnic. While my dog was not in costume all of us had a good time here seeing a lot of dogs in cute costumes. The costume contest was a sight to see and the parade was enjoyable. The kids and I both enjoyed the trick or treating (yes I ask for candy too) as well as the kiddie games. I will be back here next yr in costume!! I do wish they would move this event to LaSalle Park just a step away. Dogs are just more comfortable being in the grass as opposed to on the concrete.
