What initially was supposed to be a quick restroom break during the parade ending up being a place to hang out and decompress with our group of girls. It was perfect for us as there were comfortable seats for us to relax all while taking in the NOLA skyline. This rooftop bar is located inside the Ponchitarian hotel. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for good views and drinks.

This was a very nice little rooftop bar/lounge on top of the Pontchartrain Hotel on the edge of the Garden District. The trolley drives right down the midway in front of it, so there are lots of ways to get here. For places to dine, the hotel has a chichi restaurant called the Jack Rose and this rooftop bar ... this review is for the latter. Taking the elevator up, you exit right into the covered lounge part of the rooftop bar. When weather is bad you can recline and savor a drink inside, and when weather complies you can sit at the outside railing that provides unparalleled views of New Orleans. Facing out from the railing, the Caesar's Superdome would be on your left and the Huey Long Bridge just off center in your sightline. The view excels at night when everything ... especially the bridge ... is lit. Drinks were excellent, either from their cocktail list or anything you'd like them to make ... they were up to the challenge. While there is someone going around taking orders, the fastest way to get a drink is to belly up to the bar yourself and bring it back to your seat. When this place is busy, it is busy. All to say, this was a wonderful spot to start your New Orleans adventure. Nice cocktails, great views, and a laid back ambiance. Try it ...

This is a very nice rooftop bar at the Pontchartrain Hotel. It's a little dark as you walk in but you can spot the bar immediately. Bartenders were very nice and tended to us quickly. Drinks are little expensive but pretty normal for a rooftop bar environment. The scenery is worth a visit.

Rooftop bar with beautiful view of downtown NOLA and the bridge. We came in on a Sunday afternoon and there was no wait. Staff regularly comes and checks in. There are couches inside and seating outside.

This is a very cool bar, high atop the Pontchartrain Hotel, on St. Charles. Indoor and outdoor patios provide a fantastic sprawling view of the City and River. This popular cocktail bar can be very busy, but the view can't be beat! This is a full service bar with mixed drinks, beer and wine.

A must when in New Orleans!! I first discovered Hot Tin on my last visit two years ago (good ole Google search) and needless to stay this rooftop bar is on my list when I go. Located in the Pontchartrain Hotel, is a laid-back rooftop bar with sweeping views of the city. The drinks are beautifully crafted with consideration and care. I had "the Rita Hayworth" which had the perfect balance of heat from the smoked chili's. For $14, it's quite delectable and a steal... compared to NYC rooftop prices (IYKYK).

Cool rooftop bar on top of hotel with a view of downtown New Orleans skyline. Knocking 2 stars because the 1. outside seating area isn't as swanky or larger as the indoor seating area 2. The bar randomly closed early (at 11) because the water was shut off. Not sure what was going on, but they didn't communicate this until you went to the bar for an another drink. Very strange to not make a formal announcement. I met a friend here to catch up and could see other couples on dates. Would consider this a place for all. Pro tip: take the elevator that has hot tin on it, not the one next to it---- or you'll walk up 2/3 flights of stairs from floor 11. Made that mistake, check out the pics for proof! Lol Oh and the drinks are decent!

Came here solo during the day and it wasn't crowded at all so I was able to order right away and enjoy the view on the patio. Even though the drinks were a bit pricey, the view and the overall ambiance made it worthwhile. Going back at night with a friend sounds like a great idea--it might offer a different vibe with the lights and evening atmosphere.

It was too windy and rainy to safely go outside, but that would likely have been an option otherwise. It is a pretty unpretentious rooftop hotel bar. I like the decor- it is similar to the feel of the hotel/ rooms. The staff was closing early because there was no one here because of the aforementioned weather but they gladly gave me a free sparkling wine that came with my hotel stay and prepared the drink of my choice. The Toucan Sam was fruity and not too sweet with a bitter finish. Boozy enough that one is good. Kinda pricy for NOLA at $18.75 with tax, but with a free sparkling it was well worthwhile.

Met some friends here on a hot summer Sunday and it was a cool vibe. Luckily it was not too crowded. I've been on other days where it was a much larger crowd and almost shoulder to shoulder and that's no fun! My bartender was Abe and his service and bartending skills are top notch!
