I want to start off by saying I am a New Orleans native. This restaurant is one block off Bourbon so I was nervous it was going to be a tourist stop but I was soooo wrong. This food slapssss!!!!!! This is the best seafood boil type of food I've had in a restaurant setting. I believe I got the Cajun spicy sauce blend. Omg I was truly blown away at the flavors. The seafood was cooked perfectly. The sauce was not overly salty. The charbroiled oysters were 7/10 for me. Still an amazing addition to the seafood and I think if you're not from New Orleans you would love it. I eat charbroiled oysters as a sport, but I would get them again if I want oysters. The crab wagons were good. Not fantastic, but my sister loved them. I'm not big on crab wagon in general. The service was amazing! Fast and our server was so sweet! I loved that they offer bibs. I also appreciated that they offered gloves and the wipes they offered were sufficient to clean your hands. I left out of the restaurant clean and unscathed! I'm not sure how parking would be if you wanted to go here on an average day, but this is the perfect spot if you're in the quarter and need an amazing spot to get some food. I'm going back soon!

Came on a Friday night with a party of 10 and we waited in line for maybe 30-50 minutes. I didn't keep track of the wait because we were busy talking haha. The restaurant itself is pretty big and has a lot of seating. Our waitress was super sweet and our food came out very timely. The charbroiled oysters were incredible (my favorites during our visit in New Orleans). The poboys were also hefty. The crawfish was clean and fresh. We got the medium house cajun sauce which wasn't spicy at all and mostly just tasted like fish sauce. We requested no potatoes, extra sausages, but were disappointed to only get one corn.I really wanted to try seafood boil in New Orleans and this was a great choice. Would recommend.

Hot N Cajun's Signature Boil is absolutely fantastic! The flavors are bold, fresh, and perfectly seasoned--every bite is a treat. The portion size is generous, making it ideal for sharing with 3-4 people. Whether you're a seafood lover or just looking for an unforgettable meal, this is the dish to try. Highly recommend! Service was good. Our bartender was vey helpful in steering us for a traditional take on spices and sauces. Additionally, the restaurant is well lit and busy! This is the place to try in NOLA for a boil if you are unfamiliar.

My bf and I came across this place for lunch when we looked up seafood boils since that was a must try when we were in nola. We saw that it was a rather recent place that opened up and wanted to give it a try (also walking distance from the tourist areas lol). The place is very spacious during the time we went and only a couple of guests. Compared to the rest of the reviews, our host checked in on us often and was extremely nice. Overall an ok experience for the boils, I can see the place maybe getting slightly busier during dinner time. We got 1 lb of head on shrimp, one with cajun sauce and the other with Louisiana rub. The shrimp was fresh but the peels stuck to the shrimp too well. Louisiana rub: 6/10 slightly tangy but overall just salty for the most partCajun sauce: 8/10 very garlicky and delicious (the flavor of boils we're used to in Vegas). I know it might not be traditional, but it wasn't as saucy as the boils we're used to eating. Most of the bottom of the bag was just butter, but dipping your corn in it was amazing

Bring it to a Boil. This is a great place to enjoy a NOLA seafood boil. We got one and shared with three people. Lots of goodies in that bucket. Shrimp, Crawfish, crab legs, potatoes and corn. Boil it up in medium spicy sauce and have at it. They bring you bibs and plastic gloves (honestly the gloves make it hard). Get lots of napkins ready before you start. Sooooooo. Goood. I'm not sure what is actually in the head of a crawfish but when you boil them it shrinks and the shell fills with the delicious sauce that you can then suck out. OMG! This is a feast and a can't miss NOLA experience. Friendly staff taught us how to shell the crawfish and were attentive and happy folks. Casual setting, don't wear white!

I've been passing this spot for the longest and it's finally open! Hot N Cajun is in the previous Mahony's location.I visited this evening to see how it is. Overall decent spot, I would def say more touristy which is a given. It's in the perfect location for people visiting, one block away from Bourbon in the Quarter. I ordered a drink which was just okay, the food is average-- typical "seafood boil" restaurant meal. I do want to go back and try the oysters as I am an oyster lover! I do look forward to visiting again soon.

Mona Lisa was so friendly, and she took great care of us! Food was fantastic. I absolutely loved their charbroiled oysters. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming. It was our last night in New Orleans and we were very happy we decided to check out a new business.

Great spot for large groups craving rich and heavy authentic Louisiana seafood boil! We ordered the largest tray and was able to swap out the dungeness with two blue crabs instead. We were adventurous and gave the frog legs a try. Good but not much taste, and under-fried. Overall, everything was delicious. The oysters were very fresh, 9/10. Came with horse radish which was a nice touch

We got the shrimp saga + 1/2 head-on shrimp in house Cajun blend with medium spice between 2 people and it was filling enough but we left feeling we could have ate a bit more. Maybe add on a couple more potatoes or get a side. The flavor was great, not as salty as some other places I've tried before. The medium spice was a good amount of spice for me, a slight kick but not too spicy at all. I would stick with only shrimp next time though, the snow crab legs were a pain to peel. Overall we really enjoyed our meal!
