this food is amazing, I remember coming for a few days after Halloween with my family and i ate so much my stomach hurt. The rolls are stuffed which make it a little hard to pick up but they're still really good.

The items myself and my wife ordered were the crab rangoons, Hoshun rice, Hoshun Lomein (w/ chicken), Uptown Roll, and the treasure roll. Sigh, let me start off with the Ambience. The inside looks nice and it's a quiet chill vibe, good lighting. (1830, was the time of dinner)Now.. The food.. My wife and I were excited to try this place, but it was very underwhelming.. Crab Rangoons- 5/10.. nothing special.. They were a good size Hoshun rice- 4/10.. All they did was cook the rice, boiled the rice and put it in the plate.. no seasoning!! Very bland.Hoshun Lomein (w/ chicken)- 5/10.. Not a pinch of seasoning. Literally boiled the noodles, the cabbage, and the chicken and put it on a plate. No salt, no pepper, no home grown seasonings. If you get this PLEASE ASK FOR DUCK SAUCE OR SOMETHING..Uptown Roll- 4/10.. idk why the roll was so big and the crab was falling out every time I tried to pick it up. The spicy mayo/eel sauce SAVED this roll. Treasure roll- 5/10.. Bland, and tasteless sushi.. the Eel sauce saved this one too. *BREAK*WE will not be back. For $70 I was very disappointed.. This was our cheat meal and it was wasted by poor effort and lazy cooking.

I recently went to Hoshun late on a Thursday evening with some friends after a work event. It was very busy so we were quickly seated and greeted by our waitress Shannon. She was fun and upbeat. My appetite wasn't huge so I shared Dragon roll and hot and sour soup with my friend. He ended up ordering the sashimi salad as well. Everything tasted great. We were there longer than expected and basically closed the restaurant but no one kicked us out.Overall decent dining experience. I could see myself here for late night eats again.

Amazing restaurant, and they're open until midnight! It's a huge building but still feel intimate and comfortable. Great prices especially for what you get! I ate too fast so I got pictures of nothing! but! So good! Definitely my new go to for New Orleans. Can't go wrong, there's ample parking around the block as well which makes a huge difference! The service is awesome as well, everyone I talked to was nice, helpful and friendly. My server was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, which helps me because I never understand what it's saying lol

It's a nice cozy place for dinner, with good food and drinks option. The service was quick and efficient and our server was very kind and attentive. We had the lychee sake and plum sake bottles, and lychee came out on top taste and flavor wise. The appetizers were nice and on point. We tried egg rolls, seafood rolls, j-pop.The fried rice was well made and spicy per request.Overall a good place for a relaxed dinner

Tempura is old tasting and not fresh. Chewy. Spicy mayo has a funky cheap taste. Even the ginger looks like it's been sitting out. I do not recommend this place!

Hoshun is my go to comfy spot when I need a fried rice and sushi fix. The food is very consistent, always good. Service is bomb, they keep me coming back. And the ambiance feels like home. Very chill. I love Hoshun, even if I'm doing take out.

We tried to go the taco place across the street and it was waaay too busy so we popped in here instead. The spicy edamame was my favorite part of the meal. I had a sushi box with salmon and it was like eating a sushi sandwich. Overall not my favorite meal.

I came for the sushi, I stayed for the sake. The food is amazing, fresh and speedy. The service is the best. Servers are super attentive and the glass never goes half full (stay +). The ambiance is very casual/dressy. Laid back enough to watch a basketball game but fancy enough to bring a date. Sushi is very nice and the warm sake is the best for Christmas time.
