Hi Nabor Supermarket

A lot of people don't know about the supermarket in Baton Rouge going with the bigger chains. Hi Nabor has a really great values, almost as much selection as other stores comparable to even Walmart but more focused on the bargains. I think it's one of the few places that regularly has processed alligator at a good price as well as other local fish.I would also say that the produce and bakery sections are decent.There could be a larger section to avoid having to go to a CVS or Walgreens for toiletries. I wish the fish section was even larger although I've been very impressed with the pork and beef selections.If you want to save money food shopping this is a store that you definitely want to check out in Baton Rouge.

i shop at hi nabors at least 3 times a week, i order a birthday cake for 10/31/2022 (in person) cynthia took my order, went over it with me. pick it up and guess what it was wrong bought it anyway! call her she agree with what i wanted put me on hold the manager that came to the phone had a different story,ask me are you sure it was not right! i explain to her that i had order from the store about 2 years ago it was not right, bought lunch almost 2 months ago that was raw(spaghetti and meat balls) spoke to cynthia about it offer to bring it back, she say no. all i'm trying to say is stuff is really expensive. hi nabors please get your bakery and deli together!

I go to Hi Nabor pretty much every week. The store is clean, workers are friendly, and prices are reasonable. The selection is good.The bike rack is broken. Hi Nabor really needs to get one of those bike racks that are made locally so that it won't break.

If you have a sign that says open till 9 don't close and lock your doors at 8:45. Just another reason to add why I don't shop here. The cashiers are rude. The workers never help when you need it. If they do help they seem confused for what seems an hour so they don't actually have to do anything. Everyone in the store is lazy. Thanks again for ruining yet another quick five second grocery trip for one item.

Visit Hi Nabors on Winbourne on June1, 2024. Looking for Mustard greens. Yes, they had the most pitiful raggedy greens. Bunches were the size of a regular spool of thread. They were selling for $1.89 per bunch. 40 bunches were needed for a meal because of shrinkage during cooking. That would have been $75.60 for a small pot of MUSTARD GREENS. Who would pay that? I ask for the Manager and they sent over two different people that could not understand and make a decision to keep a high paying customer such as I. These black ladies are there to front as mangers but cannot make a decision. The white one never appeared. I have been going to that Hi Nabor for over 30 years. Until today!!! I do not use food stamps, therefore, I want a better quality of fresh produce at a reasonable price. This store is in the middle of black neighborhood and we are allowing it to disrespect and over charge for some foods.If you get food stamps, you probably don't care about the price. I do. My dollars mean a lot to me.Yes, I have seen where they give away free groceries. Since Rouses opened, they are trying to make believe that they care about their customers. I do not want your free groceries. I am willing to pay as I always have. I just want the fair market value of what Iam buying. I had to leave and go around town to find mustard greens. Should give you 1 star. Wish I had taken a picture!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I'm in the area I usually stop to get something. Recently I stopped just for a newspaper. The cashier was very polite and friendly. I have never had a cashier that wasn't nice. The other people working in the store have always been friendly and helpful when needing help.

I visited Hi Nabor Supermarket on Florida Boulevard yesterday for the first time. I grew up not far at all from the location on Winbourne and as an adult I shopped at the former location on Drusilla until Rouses took over. My visit to the Florida Blvd. location was actually to take care of some business at the notary. The woman working left such a positive impression on me that I called her to thank her and ultimately decided to leave this review. Ms. Pamela was remarkably kind and informative as my buddy and I went about trying to have a title transfer done. Neither of us had much of a clue about how to proceed but Ms. Pamela explained everything we needed to know and more. Along with the precise instructions was a level of support rarely seen these days. There was even a point where I nearly paid for something I ultimately found I didn't have to pay for. Ms. Pamela actually told me, "Why don't you go home and take a look for the document before you pay for a duplicate...you never know, you just might find it!" Her encouragement paid off because I came home and immediately found the document I needed. She could have easily let me part with $160 right there on the spot but she didn't! My buddy and I will have to go back after he covers some things on his end but I'll be looking forward to seeing her again. After our visit with her, we went to the deli and grabbed a couple salads. The store and the deli were very clean but we were a bit too early as lunch hadn't yet been prepared. The salads were fresh and filling; reasonably priced. If you have business to handle at the notary look for Ms. Pamela...she's quite a pleasure to talk to and so very helpful!

It may not be a Rouses ora Walmart,but they don'tmeasure up to what makesHI NABOR a community favorite.I admit,there may be room for improvementhere,but the rest are notall there either. They can alltake Supermaket lessons from a longtime leader.

Manger Kevin completely rude very dangerous rotten crabs did not care no solution. Offered to send pic to phone his reply "I would never give you my personal cell-bring the rotten seafood in with receipt." This is really scary wasted ten bucks but, would hate for anyone to get sick. I can't believe how reckless this employee was, I don't care about the money but, worried about public safety-even called back to let him know because he did not want it sent to him I put it on public forum his reply "have a great night"

I love their meat.. I have only been there two times for the Beef Oxtails.. very fresh & delicious!!
