Half Shell Oyster House

The food is consistent and taste good but I was surprised at how small the seafood sampler plate was since I expected it to be bigger! My husband & I thought we could share it but it's really just big enough for 1 person! The service was ok but I think only bc it was the servers 2nd day! The restaurant is dimly lit which is perfect for a date night! Yes, I recommend this place!

Today's lunch was our fourth or fifth visit to this Lafayette location.We understand prices going up. But the quality is way down.The original in downtown GPT has always been very good. And consistent.Lafayette is a very tough & fickle restaurant market, even for top quality foods, and this location is doomed, unless the quality is improved.Maybe they just had a bad day today ?Rick

Food and service were excellent! Devon was our server for the evening and she was extremely friendly. However, despite the restaurant being focused, I didn't particularly like them. I did however really enjoy the Seafood Pot Pie. If you're reading this review unsure about what to order... ORDER THE SEAFOOD POT PIE!!

Food and service was excellent . Would highly recommend. The oysters on 1/2 shell were delicious and the grilled redfish was something to relish. The restaurant has very nice atmosphere.

The food and service were top notch. We had the raw oysters. The charbroiled oysters and the Argentinian Royal Red shrimp.

Literally cannot get enough of this place. This place is an ABSOLUTE must. No matter what day of the week there's something going on, either Margarita specials, wine night specials, this place is awesome. First off if you're a margarita lover- this is your place. The mix is homemade, so no crappy heart burn happening here! Everything on the menu, from mushroom and crab, amazing sautéed crab claws, red fish, literally you could just close your eyes and pick something. If you're in town or live close and you haven't been in, this place is worth it!!!!!

Everything was delicious. Our waitress was great. The restaurant was clean. They had specials snd give military discounts.

Some of the best seafood I have ever had, Amanda was our waitress and she was amazing and even gave us free oysters. I hope to go back soon because this was far better than Cajun table or anything in that area. 10/10 Recommend a must go if you want seafood.

I visited Half Shell Oyster House for the first time on Feb 8. The food was sooooo good & inexpensive. The service was great. During our wait, my friends & I were able to sit at the bar and have a few drinks which were delicious by the way. The ambiance of the restaurant was very relaxing. I'll definitely visit again.
