Hainam Restaurant

Out of the Asian buffet restaurants in Abbeville, this would be the one to go to. They keep their food fresh. Their best is the Imperial Shrimp, and a pretty decent chicken/sausage gumbo.I usually grade by the egg rolls, and this is why they have only 4 stars. The rolls are handmade, which is usually awesome, but these have little to no meat and very greasy.

The food is decent and still worth it at the increased prices. Everyone is short handed and are dealing with increased prices for everything due to COVID 19. Really is unfair to rate a restaurant negatively when it's not something they can change.I would recommend they have potato salad for the gumbo. That would make it so much better.

Decent selection and flavor of food.There were two girls tonight at the checkout. One had glasses (super sweet on my last visit a day ago) and the other was a Caucasian girl with dark long hair (more worried about being on her phone). Poor attitude. Went in a 730, restaurant closes at 9. Made my to-go plate and remembered I wanted egg drop soup and she gave attitude once again from me asking for a container. She checks me out and before the receipt is even in my hand her face is buried in her phone. I address her attitude because 3 times is already enough and say " The girl last time I was her was so much nicer." And she laughs. I call to speak to a manager.. no manager in the building, owner is out of town. I ask when someone of authority will be in and the same girl says "ha I don't know she's in New York."

A few years ago when I would come the food and the service were great. Everything was hot and fresh. Now by the time I got back to the table everything on my plate was ice cold and as I'm trying to eat the chicken is full of fat and I can not even stomach the crab. The only thing the waitress asked was if she could get a refill throughout my entire lunch. I highly doubt I will be coming back here.

I have been eating here for years and there has been a decline in quality of the food. They hardly make an effort to bring out fresh batches, not only that but they removed their chicken with dumplings that didn't even taste right.I'm severely disappointed with how they are treating their food and might be considering on finding a new place to eat.

I have bern a regular customer of the restaurant for some time. Today I discovered that they raised the price of the lunch buffet by almost two dollars without telling anyone. I found out when I went to pay. Dishonest. The food is barely ok, but it was inexpensive. No more. The buffet costs 14 dollars with s drink and it is cold.

A good oriental buffet which can make a quick ait down meal. There was a very limited selection of sushi.
