LOVEEEEEEEE THIS PLACE!! Whether you want a sit down hibachi show or just a quick place to stop by and eat this place is amazing!! The hibachi is so good and I always have leftovers for the next day! Whenever I am not coming for the hibachi, I am coming for the wonderful sushi! I also have tried the Erica bowl and it was great! You can substitute anything out for something else! The service is extremely quick as well!!

Nigiri Sushi: 7/10Sushi Roll: 6/10Service: 7/10Ambiance: 7/10Overall: 7/10Nigiri sushi is fine, sashimi tastes fresh, fish seems okay on quality and freshness.However the tuna in tuna roll seems a little bit darker color compared to the tuna sashimi or Nigiri. Also, the rice in sushi roll is way too hard like chewing rock. Service is good, my kid had a nice time.

We had the hibachi experience at Haiku this evening and all in all, the experience was good. Although it was Tuesday night, there was a crowd in this somewhat small strip mall location and I got the feeling that the staff was a little overwhelmed. We got started a little later than our reservation time, having to wait for the staff to prepare.Our hibachi chef Harry, however, was skillful and personable, the high point of our evening. We followed with a variety of sushi rolls and although price points were a little high, all were good and attractively presented.Although I have had better Japanese hibachi and sushi, I am surprised in some of the very low scores Haiku has received. Our party of six enjoyed itself and the crowded dining room would suggest that something good is going on here. We will return and try again.

Edit: a friend brought their sushi to a party we were having. Again, it was immensely fishy smelling. We eat sushi weekly. I know some places have bad days but this is ridiculous. Shocked at all of the good reviews.

If you want all Your food to taste the same, then try this place. The hibachi grill was kinda funny with the entertainment but, when the food was made it tasted the same the rice, noddles chicken all tasted the same. To much soy sauce. Which made it all taste salty. The rice had crunchy pieces in it like maybe the it wasn't so fresh. Would I eat here again? No. For those of you who think this is good food, you don't know good food . Haven't tried the sushi rolls, but since I won't be back. I guess I'll never know how those are.

I have ordered take out from here twice. Gave them a second chance tonight, but both times i've just felt like they've missed the mark. Mostly due to quality and freshness, the tuna in the sushi is always brown and fishy in a bad way. The rolls easily fall apart. I will say my fiancé enjoyed his shrimp fried rice as they put more shrimp than most places he's ordered from. There are just so many better and more fresh options on the north shore. The service has always been great though!

Service wasn't great, food wasn't great....but the real reason I'm writing a review is because a ROACH crawled across our table as we were sitting down waiting for our hibachi chef. We killed it ourselves with a napkin, and we will never be going back.
