Gretna Food Truck Fest

Great food and great people You will have lines to wait in , but the food is worth the wait. They also had entertainment. Please check it out.

This is such a brilliant event!I like the fact that we Westbankers get to try out food trucks that are normally in the NOLA area. We got here around 6 (the event was 5 to 9) and there was already a huge crowd. Some trucks had shorter lines than others, so we decided to start slow. We got some fried chicken sandwiches at the Bonafried truck and some coffee at the Petite Rouge truck. We had our eye on Frencheeze, but the line was insane, so we let it thin out a little before we got over there.Everything is really well organized and put together. Next year, I would like it if they maybe had a band. I know it's a small space, but I'm sure they could squeeze one in somewhere. They did have a radio playing, so there was some music at the event. Hopefully this cool event will keep expanding every year.

I feel like the concept is good but they could have fit more trucks which would have made the lines a little less painful. It was fun to go and see but we had to pick one truck and call it a day because the lines were outrageous. And there was not much available seating. Had they put down more picnic tables under the covered area I think people would have stayed longer and it would have increased revenue. Hopefully next year it's a little more thought out as for seating and getting people to linger around a little longer and be able to try more than one truck without an hour line in each one.
