Golden Buffet

Enjoyed bringing my kids to this restaurant when it was previously open. The restaurant was so unique with its decor, Koi pond, etc.Upon arriving, we were pleasantly greeted and seated quickly. The staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. The buffet offered a large variety of choices, and everything was replenished quickly. Restaurant was clean and comfortable. I was especially pleased with the wide variety of shrimp dishes offered. Of course all the other staples of the buffet were present as well. They had a nice offering of sushi, salad, desserts, and of course, a grill where you could choose your items and have a chef prepared for you on the spot.

It's your typical Chinese buffet. Not bad, but not too great. Many of the chicken dishes were over cooked and tough and tasted the same, very sweet! The snow crab legs were the best I believe. It's a good looking restaurant with pleasant staff.

Quick a lot of food. Service is it is a buffet. People nice. Ambiance is a buffet restaurant. ;)

Usually buffet restaurants get run down pretty quick. This one had a restart just after Thanksgiving 2023 and we have visited several times in the past few months. Plenty of great choices of food. Pleasantly surprised by the availability of unlimited crab and crawfish, although the seasoning is a bit different than conventional Louisiana crawfish boils. Even gumbo is served as a soup. The Chinese food choices and sushi are good. Good value for money with friendly staff. Don't know why other patrons were negative about this restaurant and keep pointing to King Buffet. I'd take this restaurant over King Buffet any day.

It a fan. Didn't see my go to's. Food was just ok, not enough meat choices.....workers not friendly at all.....go to Kings Buffett

Amazing food and great variety! We loved how many types of sushi and dim sum there was. Would definitely go there again!

Food:The 1st time I ate here, I was a bit disappointed. Food was flavorless and lacking. I decided to give them another chance. This time, the food quality was acceptional. Crawfish & boiled crab were plentiful and had a great flavor. Not like the usual crawfish taste most chinese buffets have. The sushi bar was excellent with many varieties of rolls and the mongolian grill was pretty decent as well. 1st visit: 3/10. 2nd visit: 7.5/10Service:Our waitstaff was very attentive and accommodating. They got us whatever we needed quick and with a smile everytime. Ambiance:The remodel looks great! The setting was quiet and comfortable and family oriented. An american asian feel.

Never Again! We went for lunch today and we were Severely disappointed. The price was on the wall and online. when we went to pay they raised the price to the dinner price because today was considered a "holiday". The server never mentioned a price change and they stuck a piece of paper over the register while we were there! The food was bland and the crawfish tasted like ditch water. Never again.

Bad Chinese buffets are not a rarity in Lafayette, but Golden Buffet is probably the very worst of them. I arrived about 1:30 and found that virtually everything was cold. If you think won ton soup is impossible to screw up, you're wrong. Even basic spices like salt and pepper were absent from the dishes I tried. The hot and spicy shrimp were neither. I can honestly say there is not a single dish I enjoyed...not even one. Even saying the place is the Burger King of fast food would be kind.
