At this point, this is probably more helpful than the Michelle Obama calendar.

Such a cute little shop in a positive, safe space for all. Don't come in here looking for anything in particular, just let the spirit guide you to what you need lol. Lots of art prints and jewelry from local artists and fun progressive/feminist swag. It's a small space but I could easily spend an hour in here looking at all they have to offer. Staff is so friendly and a percentage of proceeds from your purchases go to local philanthropy efforts in the city of New Orleans.

A fun little gift shop!! I easily spent 30 minutes looking at all the fun earrings, bags, hats and stuff. They did have a nice selection of pixie glitter which is environmentally safe. I'm rating 4 out of 5 stars only because I expected an even larger selection of glitter. Stop by anyway, you will find something you can't leave without.

Glitter Box was a super cute little feminist store in the quarter I was drawn into when we were in NOLA.I enjoyed the highly thoughtful cultivated vibe of the space and the political nature of the atmosphere. The service as well was very warm and friendly - there just wasn't anything that peaked my fancy while I browsed. Most of the time I'm not political in my attire - a bit more frivolous in my accessory choices, however I would definitely stop by again if visiting New Orleans. I love the concept and adore supporting spaces such as this!

A wonderful femme positive store. It has a little bit of fashion, makeup, jewelry and art.It truly is an ecclectic mix and a store I could spend hours in and not see it all. Loved it and wish there was one in Tampa that I could support.

My friends and I loved this store so much we went back twice within one day lol! You know when you see something in a store, tell yourself you don't need it, but then it calls & speaks to you? Yeah well this store is full of such items! Everything from jewelry, to glitter makeup, to nipple pasties, to floral crowns, sequin booty shorts, artwork, and much much more. Check it out for some fun gifts for yourself or a fabulous female in your life. Plus bonus proceeds from each purchase go to charity. Win win.

Stopped in to this shop on Dirty Linen Night to scope out the goods as it's location lower on Royal makes this a stop easily overlooked. It was filled to the brim with delights for the eyes as well as wonderful things to wear or write on. There were locally made earrings, necklaces, rings and bags. Thank you cards, art and more. The things I was most interested in tended to be pretty expensive and after looking for a few items like cards, stationary, body glitter and hair pieces, decided overall the prices were a little steep. I respect supporting art and artists, but $300 necklaces should be featured in a gallery of similar price point instead of what appears to be a chachki shop with $20 cosmetics. I hate to be so blunt, but the three of us left empty handed that night and immediately remarked on how overpriced everything was.

This might be my favorite shop in New Orleans! I LOVE that they support local artists. Glitter box really has a wonderful selection of things like cosmetics, glitter (!!!), candles, stickers, pins, jewelry, bags/pouches, cards, prints and more! The shop is perfect for finding gifts or treating yourself :D Also, they usually have a vintage clothing or other pop up in the back of the store. Such a gem tucked away on royal street.

Glitter Box was a true highlight of my visit to NOLA. The premise & aesthetic is exactly what I am wanting to do myself in Florida. I loved the art, the political and social justice, the decor, just everything.....

If consumption and capitalism under the guise of feminism draped in outdated 2014 millennial aesthetic are your thing, then maybe Glitter Box is for you. If you find all that pretty icky, and you're turned off by the fact that they keep 40% of the artists' sales, even the artists who painstakingly handmake their products, then avoid this place. The 5% donation to charity is just a tax write-off. The owner does not live in New Orleans so money doesn't quite stay in this city either.

I really enjoyed this store while I was visiting New Orleans! Came back with a lot of cute things. I wish their store times were a bit more accurate though. I wanted to pick up some gifts for friends and showed up at 11 am when they open, but they weren't open. I waited 30 mins before finally giving up.
