Gilla Brewing Company

I was never a beer drinker in my 20's so I never really had interest in coming here but one beer I had made me change my reality on beer. This place is not far from me so I went in and experimented with their fruity offerings and now I'm sold. The inside is clean and the pricing is great to kick back and enjoy some time with your friends. There are game boards available to pass some time by in the corner as well. Never had a time where I wasn't helped quickly. The usually have some food vendors on weekends so grab some food and come get some great options.

A great place to grab a beer! The place was very clean and had plenty of tvs and seating. I went on a Sunday afternoon, and there was no one in here so we got served right away. Tons of options! I got the lightest beer... the parabol I think, and I really liked it. The beers comes in these cute little glasses.The brewery was in a complex, which I wasn't expecting, but once inside you couldn't tell that you weren't in a stand alone store. There was plenty of parking, and it is very easy to find from the road.

The server was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Atmosphere was great - lots of TVs to watch sports and there was a great selection of board games. I love beer and am always on the hunt for something memorable, something that leaves me wanting to come back for more. I sampled two beers and didn't really find what I was looking for. Asked the server what their number one seller was and his response was that the beers were always changing so it just depends on the day. To me, that's where a brewery goes wrong. Best to have a few strong solid offerings that are in constant rotation that are your mainstay beers and then it's great to venture off into fun stuff and one offs.Had four different beers on a flight and none of them were memorable. None made me want to order a whole pint afterwards. After the flight, I ordered a frozen drink, which was really good, but that is not why I visit a brewery. Overall, service was good and it was a nice little place to grab a beer and watch a baseball game, but not a brewery I would purposely go back to.

I've been meaning to check this place out for a while now but after trying them out at Brew at the Zoo I knew I really needed to make a stop.Came by around 6:30 on a Friday and they had live music, tables and tents in the parking lot and a food truck. Loved the space and it quickly filled up. Bartender was great and attentive we asked for a few pours of the most popular options and she was super helpful and informative. They do 4oz pours for $3-$5 and these were great for us to try out a few options without committing to a full pour. I liked everything I tried and I'm really not even a huge beer fan. The frozen drinks are where it was at for me, I love eggnog especially frozen and their holiday cheer was FANTASTIC Will definitely be back soon and recommending them to everyone I know looking for a fun spot in AP

Welcome to the scene, Gilla! I first experienced them at a beer fest last year where they won a few of the competitions. It's almost a year later, and I am happy to finally walk into their brick and mortar location. They have a amazing selection of brews, from 4 oz to 16 oz pours. On my inaugural trip to their location, i tried all sorts of pours - sour, light, IPA, and others. The bar seats plenty and they have tables and stools for additional patrons. I enjoyed the scene, the TVs, the flavors. It's a little bit of a drive, but all in all Gilla is going to be an AMAZING addition to the South Louisiana brewery scene!Don't miss out!

Gilla is an awesome bar and great way to support a local business. Gilla has great customer service. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The bartender provided great drink recommendations when I asked sweet drink suggestions. At the bartender's suggestion, I ordered the Lush Plush and the Hummingbird Cake. The Lush Plush was my favorite. My drinks were great but be warned they are a little sour. Also, Gilla has a nice atmosphere and is a great place to hang out. Some of the tables are spaced out enough that you can sit away from other people if you want to sit somewhat social distanced.

Cool little brewery with fun beer flavors! Got a variety 4 pack tonight to go with our tacos from next door. We tried the Bomb Pop, which was craaaazzzzy. It's the bluest drink you ever drank and tasted like a blue raspberry sour punch straw. I wish I would have taken a pic of how blue it is but we demolished it before I could. Most unique and probably the sugariest beer I've ever had. 11/10

Nice selection of beers. Good service too. They can probably do a little more with ambiance. It's a little plain but still a good place. Be careful. The GPS will but you over on the neighborhood street next to it.

You know what's a good indicator you like a brewery?You drive 25 minutes to get there and you've done so THREE times since they've opened 2 months ago. Great atmosphere, AWESOME beer, TVs with games on, arcade games. I've not done the food trucks yet, but they've always had one on Friday and Saturday when we've been. Near? Far? Just get your ass here.

I really don't understand why I haven't been here sooner! This place is so close to me! For a girlie girl that likes her girlie drinks, I really enjoy the sours! I didn't even touch the wines on tap! Again, this is a family business that I would gladly support! I discovered them years ago at a beer festival and voted for their brews!!!! I love their unique blends and flavors! I really enjoyed the sour Lush: #STTDP and the sour Lush: Candyshop V2! I have been trying to stay away from carbs but this was worth it!I highly highly recommend this place because of unique blends that have great flavors, supporting local family-run businesses and because they have pretty souvenirs too!!! Please head over here! You won't regret it!!!
