George Bass

Paul at George Bass has been taking care of my business suit needs for a few years now. I live in Los Angeles and Paul took my measurements the first time I was in the store. He introduced me to Samuelsohn Suits, of which I buy a few a year. In addition to the suits, I also order my shirts here. Paul nailed the measurements the first time I was in the store and each of the suits I have received has been spot-on. Paul sends me swatches a few times a year and I order based on those. I've tried having suits made at other shops around the country, but Paul's attention to detail and gracious service is unmatched. I was able to make it New Orleans this week, so I stopped in and did some shopping. Super highly recommended.

Excellent haberdashery. I chose this place because it carries one of my favorite brands with regards to suits. I own 1 suit and 1 sport coat. I am chronically unpopular and very unfashionable. It's a combination that lends itself to wearing more pajamas than suits. But I thought it was time to buy another sport coat. Shari V is constantly vexed by the small hole in the side of my current jacket. Service was fantastic. Paul helped me through the process and walked me through fabrics, colors and fits. He helped me find a sport coat that was good for all seasons and fashionably versatile. When the jacket came in, I went back for my fitting which was painless. The buttons on the jacket were cheap, so Paul was able to provide some handsome replacements. Parking is easy. The store has an arrangement with the JW Marriot, which is a block away. I valeted at the hotel and told them I was going to George Bass. Easy in and out. Overall, it was a painless/fun experience and I am very happy with my purchase. Great service without the cheesy sales pitch or pressure. I'll repeat for sure.

What else can I say, this is the most well edited collection of gentleman's attire in the city. I travel to NYC often but I choose to shop here. The level of personal attention I receive is incredible, the staff knows what will look best on me. Anyone that has ever assisted me has been well versed in the products and services they offer.

I went in to inquire about purchasing a pair of Alden cordovan shoes. They informed me that stored don't really hold a stock of Alden's cordovans, but they'd me more than happy to order a pair from the next run that would be produced and let me decide if I want them once I an see them in person. It was extremely nice of them to do this, as they would essentially have to purchase the shoes from the manufacturer with no guarantee that I would buy the shoes from them. To make a long story short, they fit perfectly, and I am now a very happy customer.

Customer here for over 15 years. They always bend over backwards to help.Great selection... George, the ringleader, is a master at putting a wardrobe collection together for me. All the other guys are great as well...very helpful and knowledgeable.
