Gallery Burguieres

Cute store with prints from their artist. A few post cards and knick knacks, but if you want more of those, go to their Magazine Street location. Very friendly employee working when I stopped in. Reasonable prices, well organized.

This is a whimsical gallery with the most adorable art! I never really considered whether I like foxes until I saw a print of one playing with a bubble. I fell in love, I now own one for my walls. Admittedly her art is not for everyone - you have to love animals. However, it would make a great baby shower gift, something for kid's rooms, or a gift for the young at heart.

Super cute animal paintings. The kids loved it, especially the opossums. A great little gallery!

Oh my, I do love this whimsical artist. There's whimsy and innocence with a touch of sass, but most of all, her love odd ask things animal, all things with paws, shines through. She also rehabs possums, and has several. In face, she's got a huge Instagram account for her possums. The only problem I saw with the store is there was so much I wanted to just take home with me.

I completely fell in love with this whimsical little gallery.The art here looks like something you would find in a child's bedroom, but it has that grown-up feel that let's you know that there's no shame in enjoying the art here, no matter your age. Whimsical fairy tale characters, New Orleans and Mardi Gras themed art and painting of animals of all types is what you'll see here. They have small prints which are extremely affordable and really, the only reason I didn't buy something when I was here was because I couldn't decide exactly what I wanted. I know what I do want: a print of the kittens in the king cake, for obvious reasons.The artist is very talented and I love the "carefree" feel of her work.

I fell in love with this studio and ended up buying a piece to take home for my "unicorn" wall.It's basically a wall where all my old work unicorns live, and is generally a rainbow corner of the household.Gallery Burguieres was whimsical, fun and bright, and much of the art made me smile. I was very glad to find some smaller coaster sized pieces, as we had very little space in our backpacks to take home.The unicorn is beautiful, and I definitely would drop in again when in NOLA. But why wait, her stuff is also available online! :D

If you're and animal lover this is a must see gallery!! We are greeted by the artist's sister (sorry I forgot your name!), a super nice lady who chatted with us as we were enjoying the pieces. Ended up buying 4 pieces and had it shipped back home for only $5!!!

The art is not my taste as it has a childlike, playful, and whymsical style mire suitable for children than for adults. But it's a sweet quality is undeniable. The art is great for a little girl's room, or for a person with a really young and playful spirit.My sister bought a Christmas ornament and it's really cute.

What a lovely whimsical little shop. I was charmed as were my nieces. Lots of original (and reprints) of animal themed art, as well as Alice in Wonderland and Bead Dogs. If you're looking for originals rather than reprints, consult with the sales person. All the pieces are the work of artist, Ally Burguieres. We were also directed to a shop around the corner which prints some of the images on clothing. So if you fall in love with a sloth or a rubber duckie or a pig wearing a crown, you might be able to buy a print and a shirt. I need to come back when not being tugged everywhich way by small people.

Very friendly staff. I love the variety and price range. Ally Burguieres is a talented artist. I love her possum pictures! She has lots to model for her since she rehabilitates orphan possums which I think is especially cool!
