Food is great! Quiet and relaxing clean environment. Service was excellent! Reasonable price for all of this!

I recently celebrated my daughter's 17th birthday at Fuji Yama in Slidell, and it was a fantastic experience! We had a large party of over 20 people and the accommodated us although they don't take reservations. The ambiance was perfect for a special occasion, with a lively yet comfortable atmosphere.I ordered the Crunchy Shrimp Roll and the #1 Roll, accompanied by a side of hibachi vegetables, and we also enjoyed some sake to drink. The Crunchy Shrimp Roll was absolutely delicious, with a perfect balance of crispy texture and flavorful shrimp. The #1 Roll did not disappoint either--it was fresh, well-prepared, and bursting with flavor. The hibachi vegetables were a delightful addition, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning. The sake complemented the meal perfectly, adding a nice touch to our celebration.The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure our celebration was memorable. They even went the extra mile to make my daughter feel special on her big day.Overall, Fuji Yama provided an exceptional dining experience, and I highly recommend it for both everyday meals and special occasions. We will definitely be returning!

9/10 highly recommend. That blue Hawaiian drink in the the pail cup was so cute, get less ice to really enjoy the alcohol. The hibachi was great not too salty but tasteful. Very polite chef and made it an experience for kids and those celebrating a birthday. They do charge a mandatory gratuity for 5 or more guest. Loved it and will return again.

We went her for the first time for lunch. They have really affordable lunch options. We got two rolls, soup and salad. Soup and salad was very good, but the rolls were just okay. They were a decent size, but a little flat in taste. The service was really good! The ambiance was ok. There were a lot of customers celebrating birthdays and it was very loud with singing. Not complaining, just making an observation. The only reason we tried this place was because our favorite sushi place in Slidell wasn't open.

Came here and sat at a table. Got sushi and the hibachi dinners steak and shrimp. Steak needs more flavor but in all great pick and the food hit our cravings. Service is good and prices are fair.

First visit & they don't take reservations. It was a friend's granddaughters 17th birthday & there were nine of us. It was a great experience, all food ordered was very good.

Slidell local don't sleep on Fuji. If you choose hibachi it's delicious but we always go for the sushi. Favorite appetizers are the Snow Ball and the Tuna Tower. Service is typically awesome, but tonight the party of literally 20 was affected. Won't hold that against them of course, especially when the special rolls quality is top tier. Great mood and lighting with (I would say) and upscale vibe. Highly recommend!

We've been here at least 4 times before so we have a relative viewpoint for this review. The host greeted us with 'if you want hibachi it's 18% gratuity' not 'hello' 'welcome' or anything. He then seated us and proceeded to play on his cell phone. That was just the beginning. Our server clearly didn't know the menu but we ordered appetizers. We ordered Shumai which is ALWAYS served with hot mustard. 1, they didn't have hot mustard and 2. the shumai was cold and obviously the frozen bag dumplings available at any sub par market. We also order gyoza which came out cold and was also just the cheap frozen bagged dumplings. We also ordered the sparkling sake and the server said 'sorry, it's not chilled.' That's a cold sake which wasn't ready to be served. I won't continue to pick apart how terrible the service and food was. It's very disappointing because we have supported this business since they opened. We will never return as they are definitely declining on a huge scale.

Great food, great rolls. Gives a lot of food. Staff are Always kind when we go there. Great atmosphere!! I am, and will always be a frequent customer.

I'm not sure what to think about this restaurant, I really hate going to eat out and the tv is on FOX NEWS, I think you should leave politics elsewhere not at the restaurant and food was okay, we was there celebrating a birthday for my quest that was visiting from Memphis, they song happy birthday when half our the quest had left and brought ice cream when we was leaving the table.
