Excellent service. This is a hidden gem next to Rouses. I ordered the avocado toast and the Greener wave smoothie. I wanted turkey bacon in my roast instead of pork, and they went to rouses to change it out. The toast was delicious.Saturdays and sundays they do a bottomless mimosa which I'll definitely have to try.

Food is good. Breakfast is standard nothing over the top not mind blowing. The indoor seating is awkward but cooler than the patio and the employees are warm and amazing . Patio seating has fans but they aren't moving the air at All. Misting fans would turn this space into the perfect courtyard On Saturday they have bottomless bloody Mary's and on Sunday bottomless mimosas.

Absolutely delicious. The menu is extremely versatile and it has great vegan options as well as anything you want really in terms of meat etc. this is a way better option than some of the places in the neighborhood. They have wine dinners, wine specials are on Wednesdays, we can pretty much ask for them to cook when the chefs there because they just get all the food right in the Rouses. This is inside the Rouses grocery store on Freret Street and it is surprisingly delicious they have alcohol great drink specials highly recommended excellent wine if you have the opportunity to do one of their wine dinner (I've already done before they are so good) sign up!The avocado fries!!!!! The turkey burger! The smoothies are great Nicouise salad is one of my favorite things and it is so good.

The food here is superb for a grocery store dining area. Me and my coworkers stopped in for Lunch and the cook was extremely helpful and friendly. He cooked up our veggie burgers to perfection and fried the fries crunchy and well seasoned. He then came and brought our meal to us. We agreed the meal was excellent and were utterly surprised. There is a bar and nice indoor and outdoor seating available.

This little gem opened today in the new Rouses market on Freret street. They source produce from the grocery store.A wonderful selection of food items and drink options. They have coffee and smoothies and beer and everything you could wish for. It's cute, and quaint. Ben is a great guy for stimulating conversation and a good laugh. Check it out while you're in the market, or making your way down the street. Cheers, Faire!

I've been coming to Freret Faire since it opened and i have to say that while some of the hate and vitriol i see is warranted, people really just have the wrong idea of what to expect of this place. Rouses corporate and the management of the grocery store itself seem to be neglecting the obvious needs of Freret Faire, almost as if adding it to the store was an unwanted afterthought. They are understaffed, and the leadership seems to be flaky, but the people who work there are very kind, and are dealing with a lot of shit you wouldn't notice unless you spent a lot of time there. I work on my computer in the bar area or patio for about 10 hours per week, and I see the staff trying very hard and hustling, but their needs as a staff are not being met, and they are understandably becoming jaded with the whole situation. As a restaurant industry professional for the last decade, i can tell that the issue is not with the staff, but the arrangement between freret faire and rouses upper management. All the service issues aside, the food is fine, but nothing to make it a destination beyond price. For flavor and portion size, it is some of the most affordable food in the area. Also, where most of their offerings are passable or good, but nothing super special, the fries, which i snack on often, are actually phenomenal. They are $4 for an order, which beats most if not all other places on Freret, and strangely enough, they are REALLY good. great crunch, and good flavor throughout. the peanut sauce is also excellent. What im saying is, don't try to compare this to established small businesses that are operating for themselves. The incentives within rouses seem to be setting them up to fail. For quick, cheap, casual places to sit and work, Freret Faire is making a niche for itself, even if rouses corporate is deluding itself to believe they are competing with the restaurants on the block, that is not how many of us who live near freret see them. They have made a place for themselves in the convenience, and the fact that their seating is more like a coffee shop than a restaurant. Wi fi, coffee, and cheaper more eclectic food make this place have value, even as Rouses actively works to turn it into something it is not.If you come in expecting it to be real restaurant style service, youre gonna be disappointed. If you go in expecting a hardworking staff to try their best, while providing an experience more akin to a food court, you will be happy to see them achieving this.

Wowowowow!!!!! What a sweet awesome spot for vegan breakfast!!!! Freret Faire is located inside the brand new Rouses on Freret and it does not disappoint!!!! First off, the staff there was just lovely! Amazing, attentive, helpful, and efficient! The food was seriously so. Freaking. Good!!!!!! We got the vegan pancakes with a side of fruit and potatoes, and the avocado toast that came with a side of vegan tofu scramble and OMG it was all DELICIOUS! Seriously, the pancakes were fluffy and some of the best I've had! The potatoes were crispy and so so great, and the fruit was perfect. The star of the breakfast show was most definitely the avo toast which came out beautifully presented, fast, and omg so tasty. You could choose from like a thousand kinds of bread for the avo toast, we got multigrain and it was honesty perfect. Came with a sprinkle of hemp and chia seeds and nooch, and the side scramble was sooooo good too! All for ~$30 including tip! I will be going back as often as possible! They have a lovely outdoor space, which means Priscilla gets to come (!!!!), and they even delivered our food to our table while we waited outside. 100 stars if I could!!! Thanks Freret Faire, welcome to the neighborhood!!!

Very disappointed in this new café. The service staff was very disorganized. The food was not fresh. The chefs were reading recipes on how to make salads and brought out the appetizer last after a long wait for the other food items.I hate to see this place when it's busy.

I'm really happy to find this place in my area because I'm vegan and gluten free and the other restaurants with options always have lo waits. Good start Rouses but gluten free VEGAN bread is needed along with non dairy butter and would be nice if they could make the vegan pancakes gluten free. I build my own bowl with tofu scramble and the seasoning is great and very accommodating Chef that can tailor some things. More vegan gluten free pls and hope Rouses does this in all their locations ESPECIALLY Tchoup location. It's nice to see Rouse's finally stepping up.
